This place changed there name to hide from all the bad reviews! same Dry bland Food here is my other review Well LOL My bad ! tryed this place sense they moved to the new place in Rudy & Ange’s old place and the meat was dry and little taste! My husband and I gave it a try, we were absolutely unhappy. The owner before, when it was best lovin did a amazing job and the food was always great! Now the Tri-​tip is under cooked and the French fries suck! The service is still excellent. I don’t want to put a rating, negative stars. I have too because of this app!!!

From what I understand this restaurant is under new ownership as of probably a year ago, maybe less. Before this change, this place was amazing! Everything was good. From the food to the service to the environment. recently I have had two bad experiences. The first one was related to the service… The server was extremely rude to my nan and as an elderly woman and a customer she deserves better treatment! Tip for him; you work in the service industry, if you plan on treating people the way you treated my nan and family, I suggest you begin looking for a new job because you won’t get far! My family and I used to frequent this place often but not anymore.
The second bad experience was with the food. After the incident with my nan, my husband and I decided to give it one more try. Well it was terrible! My chicken was raw and I sent it back three times. I ended up not eating my food and we will never be back! It’s a shame the new owners didn’t take on the great customer service from the previous owners.

Best BBQ in the five cities. The tri-​tip is delicious and tender. Austin, the hostess, is great. He is super friendly and efficient. The mashed potatoes and gravy are made from scratch. So are most of their sides. Yummy.

The good: The staff was very friendly and they helped us out with a coupon, which we really appreciated. The food was pretty good, I really liked the BBQ sauce options they had. We had a party of 9 and were seated almost immediately.
The bad: Our waitress seemed a little overwhelmed and kept getting confused with our order. A few things were mixed up, and my young nephew had to wait for his plate for a few mins after the rest of ours came out. Our waitress also disappeared for awhile and no one checked on us or got us refills until she showed up again. I assume she went on break, because she was gone 10 – 15 mins then came back inside and put her purse behind the counter before she came over to check on us.
The worst: There were a bunch of different people there that were all standing around inside and out. Multiple people were smoking within a few feet of the door, Gross! It looked like they were going to have an event later in the night with music. They started sound checking while we were still eating… Yeah that’s exactly what I want to hear when I’m out to dinner with my family. It was unpleasant and annoying
Overall, I wasn’t happy with my visit, but I’m hoping most of the issues I had were a one time thing. I would be willing to try it again, but maybe on a different day or earlier.

The primary dishes are really very good with the tri-​tip is the best in my opinion. We’ve only tried a few sides but two were very good and the other mediocre (mashed potatoes). They don’t always answer there phone and they don’t seem to have someone to put you on hold at least. They also seem to run out of food on occasion.
We still order from here but if we don’t get an answer the first time we generally don’t call back. Food is good though.

This is a great place for BBQ on the Central coast. The tri-​tip is top notch, and the sauce is among my favorite BBQ sauces I’ve had. The menu offers quite a few options, including burgers, chicken, salads, and even a fish sandwich. Good draft beers and a good atmosphere. You won’t regret trying this place out.

Their tri tip sandwich was literally the best I’ve ever had! I’ll stop by again the next time I drive to LA.

Tasty tasty food! Our favorite is the aunties chicken bacon avocado salad. The guys usually trade chicken for tritip. Either way u can’t go wrong! Good flavor and juicy, never dry. Comes with delicious garlic bread. With a drink I usually pay almost $ 15. The service can be questionable sometimes but the guys are always super nice. The place definitely needs a remodel, kind of dark. Bathrooms a little scary but spacious. We’ve also ordered tritip nachos before which were delicious. All orders have good hearty portions.

The tri-​tip sandwiches here are amazing!! The guy who took out order was very nice. The place was very clean and organized. It’s pretty small inside so not that great for really big parties. Maybe like 10 max. And we love getting take out. The place is just over all amazing

Always friendly waiter, he really goes out of his way for us, this is our go to spot for burgers and tri tip sandwiches, u can tell they really put effort into their food. Almost everything is home made. We always get the western burger and the tri tip sandwich and also wings. Best western burger tri tip sandwich mac n cheese n mashed potatoes that i have ever tried.

Excellent place to eat. The linguica sandwiches are to die for. Overall great. Friendly staff… TVs on every wall… and cold beer for all. I will be back for more. Keep up the good work guys. !!!

Friendly service and the menu looks great! The couple meals we had were good. I appreciate that they have a kids menu. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu :)

Decent. Nothing to write home about. The food was good and with a lot of flavor. 5 star on food and menu.
Why the 3 stars? They might want to get a mop and clean the place. I was very disappointed at how dirty things appeared.

We live just down the street from Mo’s in Pismo and we would much rather drive down to Skip’s for the family owned service and the fantastic food. If you need some BBQ and you’re in the central coast stop at Skip’s.

Eating up Grand #3. I stopped by Skip’s a couple weeks ago. It was a Saturday around 5:30, and there were only two tables with customers. The front guy was friendly and when I asked what he recommended, he said definitely tri tip. I got the combo with tri top and one beef and one pork rib. It was great! The tri tip tender and juicy, and both ribs meaty. Everything had good smoke flavor. The side of sweet potato fries was huge and really good. I’ll be back to Skip’s!

Nice to see nice, smart, and young business people trying to make it in this town! New and fresh food! I’m a country girl and I love my BBQ! So delish!!! Can’t wait to come back! See you soon Skip!

I was a huge fan of Best Lovin’ before they moved and only recently tried their new place.
My little sprog got her usual beloved tri tip dip. That’s what I always get but I decided to branch out and try their 3-​way combo. It was a Saturday night at 6 but they had already run out of pork ribs (ouch!). I ordered a combo of beef ribs and tri-​tip.
So, my meal was a disaster. First off, this plate of food was $ 20. The beef ribs were burned to black charcoal. And not just burned, but like jerky, so I’m assuming they had been around for a good long time. Normally I just pay the bill and write a bad review but for $ 20? No way! I complained to the waiter who apologized and said that he had picked thru what they had looking for some good pieces for me. So basically, he’s saying that he knew it was crap and tried to fob it off on me anyway. He came back w/​a few ribs that were slightly less charred but still very unpleasant.
The tri tip was actually wonderful, as usual.
The potato salad was clearly spoiled. GROSS! The sweet potato fries were all greasy and cold. I didn’t even bother bitching about my side dishes after all the trouble over the beef ribs.
Again, this was around 6 on a Sat night, so I can’t even imagine how bad things got later when (if?) the place started to fill up.
We’ll be back for a redemption visit because it was such an anomaly from our previous experiences w/​Best Lovin’. Or maybe they’ve just totally switched their focus from good food to beer $$?
