Heart of a Child toys are chosen specifically to encourage active creative, and imaginative play.

Children learn best through play, so toys should meet a child’s developmental skill level– both mental/​immaginative and physical– and encourage practice and growth of skills through play.

History

Established in 2010.

I have always loved toys. The fact that we get older never seems to dim the joy of getting a new toy. Even a real-​life crumdgeon will crack a smile once they get a toy in their hands.

As we become more technologicly advanced, it seems that children miss out on toys that enourage them to develop through play. Adults my be fascinated by the «bells and whistles» but the child has gained nothing except a growing fascination with blinking lights and noises created at the mere press of a button.

I wanted to create a store where parents and children could re-​discover the joy of active play, and so, there are many toys that are open and available to try out right in the store. It gets a little noisy sometimes with all the giggling, but hey, that’s what it’s all about!
