Page Hardware & Appliance Co. opened in 1939 and is now in its third generation of Page family ownership. Located in the historic district of Guilford, CT, Page’s anchors the shopping area surrounding the town Green. The hardwood floor and bulk nail bin you expect to see in an old-​fashioned hardware store are surrounded by modern products found at today’s trend-​setting retailers.

Always someone to help find things. Fair prices for a local store. They once had great appliance service but no longer have service. Consider this when you think about buying an appliance from them. We never minded paying a little more because they stood behind their products.

I absolutely adore Page Hardware from their stainless steel appliances to their stainless steel cleaner (Weitzman to be exact).
This store is simply wonderful and filled with wonderful and informative employees. They will also price match whenever possible. I have bought several appliances here for my home and feel very lucky to have purchased them from Page Hardware. I liked them even better when they did their service in-​house.
If you want a truly great appliance, go here, as they simply don’t carry any junk.

Yesterday afternoon I noticed that my dryer was not working and, as a mom with two small children I was distraught! Thanks to Page’s Hardware I am watching a new dryer being installed less than 24 hours after I knew my dryer was even broken. The drivers even called to confirm that they were coming. I have this thing about small businesses. I believe in them. I believe in the mom & pop stores and restaurants that bring a family warmth to their products and services. I especially adore the attention to detail and the exceptional customer service that is often found at small businesses.
I found that service here at Page Hardware and Appliance Co. Though I have yet to visit the store in person, I have interacted with the staff on a few occasions via telephone and email. I ordered some gorgeous mason jars online, which I found through Jacin from Lovely Little Details, and was so happy with my purchase! They packed them so well each jar was perfect. I ordered a few more and though there was some confusion, everything was all good!!! The staff here are so friendly and helpful! I would love to visit this place in person one day and experience their customer service in real life. I already love this place and I know love it even more if I every visit =)

A weekend painting project brought me here on Saturday when we forgot small rollers after our supply run to Home Depot. It was my first time and it will certainly not be my last. This is so much more than a hardware and appliance store. More fun than Home Depot that’s for sure!
When I walked in my mind was on paint rollers but my focus quickly shifted when I saw the adorable and sturdy Built lunch bags + wine bags, fun kitchen items, baby stuff, fancy aprons, bakeware, Valentine’s Day stuff (I seriously considered heart shaped molds for pancakes + eggs)… I could go on and on.
The painting project had already started at home so I had very little time for browsing. I quickly went to the painting section and found what I needed. The cashier was very helpful and honest with an additional product I picked up, telling me that I probably wouldn’t need it for painting, which saved me money (yes!). That was much appreciated. I left with the paint roller and a plan to come back soon to browse the rest of the store.

One of the wonderful things about Guilford is Page. Whatever you need for your small home improvement project, they have it. Need an odd size screw, or a wingnut to replace the one that fell under the deck when you were fixing something? They have it, 20 cents. It’s a fascinating business model, when you think about it – spend 10 minutes of employee time at $ 10 an hour or so to find me the exact right size 20 cent fastener. You might lose $ 1 on every transaction, but you make it up in volume!
Of course, it’s the service that brings you back…

Hardware and Applinaces. If its for your castle, RV or doghouse, you can probably find it here. There is always plenty of help on hand. I get my propane tank filled here a lot because they care about treating the customer right.
