Robby Richardson started Sport Fish Colorado in 2009 and acquired Blue Mesa Fishing in 2011.

Business Owner
Robby Richardson has had fishing in his blood since he could walk. At the age of two, his dad would take him to private pay fishing ponds in the mountains of Colorado. As Robby grew older, his love for fishing intensified and in high school he realized that he wanted to make a career out of his God-given passion. Robby spent four years at Western State College in Gunnison, CO studying Business while guiding on Blue Mesa Reservoir in the summers for the company who ran the marinas. This opportunity gave him thousands of hours of valuable experience learning the seasonal movements and habits of the kokanee salmon and mackinaw lake trout that inhabit this reservoir. During this time, he also started fishing a lot of ice fishing tournaments across the state of Colorado.
