History
Established in 1980.
Pat’s Screen Printing was founded by Patricia Van DeVeere Greene, an artist and teacher with a strong interest in graphic design. Prior to the era of computers, Pat hand-cut all her designs. She partnered with numerous women to offer an assortment of artisan goods and handcrafts.
Pat used a wicked sense of humor and life experience to serve as a mentor to a number of people and a champion of the underdog, particularly disadvantaged women.
Sadly, Pat contracted gall bladder cancer at the age of 52 and died 11 months after her diagnosis. In her farewell address, read by a friend, she quoted fellow Canadian Red Green and reminded folks to «always keep your stick on the ice.»
Pat’s wish was that her business continue after her death, a wish carried out by her friend T.L. Livermore. In 2014, Livermore took on long-time Woman in Charge Kara Harris as a partner. TL, Kara and crew remain committed to carrying on Pat’s vision of quality, customer service and affordability.
