We are an academic preschool providing little ones an age-​appropriate developmental curriculum-​based education. Children are given many opportunities to explore through teacher directed hands-​on activities and self-​initiated play in learning centers. Good, positive moral values are reinforced through a rich and meaningful curriculum. Christian values are also an important component of our program with daily devotion times and weekly chapel. Tours to prospective parents are available on Tu., We., and Thur. each week. Please contact us first to schedule a tour of our facility.

History

Established in 1982.

We have been a neighborhood preschool for over 30 years now. We’ve befriended many families of various cultures from within our community and our preschool students are always a reflection of that. We are an extension of Gurnee Christian School, grades K-​8, which has been in the same location since 1968.

Meet the Manager

Elsie C.

Manager

Miss Elsie, as everyone at the preschool affectionately calls her, has been the director at GCP since 2006. Her philosophy is one of building relationships with the families of the students who attend the preschool. She believes that it’s important for the students to feel secure, affirmed, and sincerely cared for by ALL the staff. It is her conviction that the academic and social aspects of the preschool’s program form a solid base for the future development of energetic, enthusiastic, and engaged students.
