I planned my wedding in 2 months, and I was two weeks from my wedding date and I had not decided on a DJ/​Lighting. Everyone I met, i just didn’t feel confident in. Fortunately, I met Nick. Just after our initial meeting, I walked away feeling really confident that he will deliver exactly what I need. I felt like I didn’t have to describe in detail what I wanted or send him a billion songs to play, he just knew from a short description of the music I liked, and delivered. On the day of my reception, the lighting was BEAUTIFUL, and DJ set up was very clean and professional. The music kept the dance floor packed until the very end. Nick is very talented and truly loves what he does. His personality makes it so easy to work with him. I would definitely work with Nick again, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ/​Lighting.

The best DJ ever!!! From first contact to final execution of it all, simply amazing! After a few conversations, Nick felt like family! We hired Legacy Events for my sister’s wedding reception and had plenty of guests telling us how great the music was! Lighting and sound were on point. We had DJ Nick for our pre-​wedding, wedding and reception festivities and couldn’t have been happier. He provided both music and lighting for our wedding.
When planning a wedding, it’s easy to know that you need music and what kind of music you like. Lighting, however, is a completely foreign concept. When you meet other DJs, they try to sell you on all of the cool different lighting packages you have. With DJ Nick, he’s very honest and upfront about what you need given the look you are going for. He even came with me to our pre-​wedding function venue to scope out the location and to tell me the minimum lighting I need to get the maximum result. He also carries extra lighting with him in case anything looks off the day of.
His music choices were phenomenal and people were on the dance floor the whole night. He really does a great job feeling out what the crowd is enjoying and keeping the momentum going.
All in all, I would recommend DJ Nick to anyone requiring DJ or lighting services!

I needed a DJ for my 30^th birthday party so I contacted Legacy Sound and Lighting. Deshon, our DJ, was great. He played every request and kept the party going, I got tons of compliments about him. Not only was he very professional he was also very personable and fun… He arrived on time and the setup was quick and easy… I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Nick Datwani is the best DJ and the only DJ you want to book for your wedding! He did my engagement party, my sister’s wedding and is going to be doing my wedding as well. I can’t wait. He is extremely resourceful and tries to make it as easy as he can on you.
In terms of Dj, he plays the latest music as well as the best older songs as well, his mixes are the best because he doesn’t stick to one song for too long. He really listens to what you want. Not only that but he hosts the party extremely well and gets everything as lively and jumping as possible.
I always have the time of my life when Nick is the DJ, highly recommend him because he truly is the best!!! He is efficient, lively, has humble personality, has great communication, and I just can’t wait to have him again for my Wedding this in March 2015!

The best wedding DJ ever! Professional and delivered exactly what we asked for on our wedding day. Everyone at the wedding told us how awesome our DJ was. There was not one person that was sitting down… Everyone was up dancing! Once we decided to go with Legacy Events they sent us an email questionnaire that made it very easy to decide on what type of songs we wanted at our wedding.

Nick Datwani was an absolute pleasure to work with this weekend for my sister in law’s 2 day Pakistani wedding. Not only did he blow us away with great music and amazing baraat entrance with a dhol player + music but he was calm, patient and flexible with all our mehndhi dances and events.
Even more than his awesome DJing & MCing, I was absolutely blown away at the lighting he gave the reception hall. The lighting design transformed the room and made the wedding a beautiful oasis of blue whites and silvers. His lighting will make you feel like your at a celebrity wedding. I DEFINITELY recommend you use him for both music & lighting!

Nick DJed our wedding last month and we couldn’t be any happier! He provided us with lighting, mobile baraat, tv rental, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception sound/​music. The baraat was great and kept everyone hyped up as the groom’s procession came to the ceremony location. He was helpful to make announcements during the ceremony to make sure people were at the appropriate locations at the right time. He then setup for our outdoor cocktail hour. We provided a very specific list of music we wanted during our cocktail hour and he ensured that he had those songs and played them. We were so happy that he upheld our requests.
As far as the reception goes, it was a dance party all night long! The lighting on the stage, dance floor and uplighting created a wonderful ambience and great pictures. The music was off the hook all night long. He played both Indian and American music and the perfect combination. He was good at reading the dance floor and switching music as needed. Thanks Nick for making our special day so perfect!

Nick was our DJ for the reception. We contacted him at the last minute pretty much like 2 weeks before the event. He was really busy to get hold of. I had to work around my schedule to finally meet him which made me a bit nervous at the beginning but once I met him, he gave me a sense of peace and I knew he is the right guy for what i wanted.
He was super helpful and worked with us in making our first dance clip which was actually a mix of several videos from YouTube. So I gave him the links to the videos and he gave us a clip with all the right audio put together in less than a day. And this was like 4 days b4 the event. I’m glad that he got our sense of urgency and didn’t give us any hard time although we kept pushing him. He was so easy to work with and pretty flexible. He gave us all the details before hand and no surprises. The most imp part was how easy he was to work work coz you need someone who can help you ease your stress not add to it. Some of my vendors gave me a lot of stress.
Nick was also the MC of the event and he did an excellent job with very little guidance and last minute changes. And now when it comes to the music, he kept the crowd dancing to all his tunes till I had to personally ask him to stop. Else the crowd would’ve been dancing all night.
His price is definitely reasonable and had quality in his work. There is a lot more i can talk about this guy but it’s kinda painful to type something so long on the phone. I guess I’ll update later when I’m on my laptop :)
To sum it up, Nick is the best.

Worked with Nick, very professional, but very busy with events, so book early. Definitely felt a difference when talking to Nick vs the other Indian DJ productions out there. Was recommended by a friend, and was very happy with our choice.
He did our mobile bharat, great job, kept everyone dancing for almost ½ hour in the socal heat. Later on at night everyone young, old, indian, non-​indian were dancing the entire night.
One thing that definitely helped, is that my wife and I are very picky with our music and told him what we liked and more importantly did not like, he took the music we recommended and used that to develop a playlist that kept everyone on the dance floor.
We didn’t use him for lighting, so can’t really comment on that. But when it comes to a wedding the only thing people remember is the food, the booze and the DJ, can’t go wrong with this guy.

After experiencing a friend’s reception that Nick and his team dj’d– I knew I had to have Nick as my dj/​mc for my wedding.
Nick did such an amazing job, and I was so happy with how smoothly our baraat, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception went. Everyone was on the dance floor until the reception over, and he did a great job of keeping the party going all night long. He also did a great job mc’ing– and knew how to get everyone pumped up at all our events! I even had friends commenting months after the wedding about how our DJ had done such a great job of keeping everyone on the dance floor, and how he played such great music.
Every step of the way Nick was awesome to deal with, and I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family!

Nick’s always been a great DJ and been my go to guy for all things DJ for almost many many years. He’s always gone above & beyond the call to make sure the event goes perfect. I was really excited to have him do décor/​DJ for my Sangeet and Nick didn’t disappoint!

Nick made my dream wedding a reality. the music, the dance floor, the gobo, the lighting was all incredibly AMAZINGGGGG !!! They simply know to how to get people to enjoy and dance.
Their music selection is tailored to whatever environment there is, and had our crowd on the dance floor the entire time. Everyone from the age 5 to 75 was non stop dancing because of the music selection and overall vibe of Legacy sound!!! Bottom line, is if you are looking for someone professional, knowledgeable, and that can cater to your needs for a DJ/​Lighting/​Equipment rental, why look anywhere else??? Ummmmmm, are you serious? It’s been a couple weeks since my wedding reception and I’m still sore from werking it out on the dance floor! Nick (DJ Nitro) of Legacy Events DJ’d our wedding AND hooked it up with some AHMAZING lighting and vendors. This guy know what he’s doing, and does it with a smile on his face. I was able to have a stress free day, and what bride doesn’t want that on her wedding day, thanks to Nick!
One of the nicest guys and baddest MC’s I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. Thank you Nick for not only making my wedding day the best day of my life, but also for being the only DJ out there who was able to get my 75 year old grandma to The Shuffle. Had the pleasure of seeing Nick (DJ Nitro) of Legacy Events perform for the first time live last night at Marriott Hotel in Woodland Hills and he did not disappoint. Music was top notch and he had the crowd dancing all night.
First learned of D.J. Nitro through a friend and then downloaded his music on Soundcloud and I was hooked. His mixes make my workouts a whole lot easier.

Nick of Legacy Events did a phenomenal job for my wedding in August 2011! As a musician, it was important for me to have the right music to set the mood. Nick was incredibly patient and contributed to my creative music selection process to pick the most original soundtracks. He helped in every aspect of the wedding from bridal entrance, grand entry and cocktail hour even to the same day edit. Nick is really great at what he does and has an exhaustive resume to back up that experience. Most of all, Nick went above and beyond the call of duty and that is what I really appreciated about him.
One of the most important things to me reflecting back on my vendor experiences (photo, video, venue, caterer etc) was promtness and professionalism. As a bride, you are overwhlemed with a million details and I could always count on Nick to respond to my questions and changes in the most timely manner.
Lastly, working with Nick cut down on my number of vendors because he was able to use his network to take care of my lighting and party rental needs (table clothes, chivari chairs, etc). Nick saved me a lot of time and a lot of stress! Thanks Nick for being one of my alltime favorite wedding vendors!

Nick of Legacy DJ deejayed my mehndi/​sangeet and wedding. He did a great job mixing both Hindu and American music, kept the dance floor full, and did a great job as MC on the parts that we needed (i.e., introductions, announcements). He was prompt and early to both events. He responded quickly to all our questions and incorporated our song choices perfectly. We didn’t have any issues and even got a number of compliments from guests that they really enjoyed the music. Thanks Nick!
