My sister works nearby and told me about this place. We just went there today and I am so glad we did. The coffee is great, the owner is friendly. It’s also a cute café. I had the nutella, banana, strawberry crêpe and a cappuccino. Will return soon!

The plain croissant with nutella was so delicious. It is one of the best I’ve had in the North Jersey area. The latte was great as well. It is a charming place with great coffee and pastries, as well as friendly staff. I would certainly go back.

Convenient location, clean, cute décor (if that matters), free wi-​fi, Italian-​speaking owners (actually native Italians), good coffee, delicious pastries, and I can go on. Plus, Elizabeta is so cute. How can you not love this place?
I originally came here in hopes to try the Nutella croissant. They didn’t have any left my first visit and I was reluctant to try anything else, but (!) the pistachio croissant caught my eye only because I’ve never heard of one (usually you hear almond, chocolate, etc.), but not pistachio. OMG. Obsessed. I’m not a big croissant or sweets person to begin with, but holy wow — this pistachio croissant is everything. The bread itself is so fresh — slight crunch on the outside, but as soon as you bite into it, you get the buttery layers of dough… and then when you get to the middle (???) — creamy, pistachio cream — heaven. I came back today and made sure to get two.

I met Elisa in February day and was immediately attracted to the café with Café Guglielmo theme. A special Blend elaborated in Calabria. Great coffee and croissant with Nutella. Crepes excellent also. Sandwiches? I do recommend this Café Italiano. Daniele Matteo Editor at DrGraybeard.

I absolutely love this gem. Ive been there more than 5 times and i always bring friends and mention it to people. Their crèpes are amazing, i always have the nutellino and the owner is very sweet.

One word. yum! Figured I had to try this place due to the great reviews and I’m glad I did. Was in the mood for a crêpe and coffee. I got the prosciutto arugula and parmesean crêpe and am iced latte. The crêpe was fabulous. I loved that they put the ingredients on top of the crêpe and the balsamic dressing is a must! The iced latte was great ;not too strong not too watery, just right. The décor is beautiful. When you think of low key coffee shop where you can come to just chill out this is the place. Definitely will be coming back!

This is a wonderful — the vegetable soup Elisabetta makes every day fresh is out of this world and reasonably priced. Today I also ordered a latte which was a pure pleasure to drink — to my taste buds as well as visually. While listening to a poetic Italian language in the background, lunch is the most positive and calming experience you can have. Croissants she makes are so flaky and delicious. The other day I had crepes filled with veggies and that was also irresistible.

My colleagues and I went over to try this newly discovered 5-​starer on Unilocal.I ordered Ham & Mozzarella cheese Crêpe and my colleagues ordered Prosciutto topped with balsamic source. Being the first timer trying crepes with meat inside, I would say I am very impressed!

What’s not to love? An authentic Italian family serving authentic Italian food and drink. I have never been disappointed and they always exceed my expectations. The homemade lunch specials are amazing and change daily. The coffee is better than any other in the area. The atmosphere is very welcoming. All of the homemade desserts are great as well. Favorites: focaccia sandwiches, cappucino, lunch specials. A must visit in Bergen county !!

FANTISTICO! The Nutella croissants and Nutella cappuccino are out of this world delizioso! Yummy! Everything they make is amazing. Elisabetta and Antonio are the nicest owners! It’s so great to have wonderful people that treat you like family in the area. And they deliver! Delivery is super quick and with a big smile. I wish that I could rate them at 100 stars!

Excellent homemade food. Not a huge selection, but what they have is delicious. Great for a quick cup of coffee, definitely the best in the area. Would love to see them expand the menu a bit, but will be back anyway.

I found them through my iPhone’s Spotlight search for Breakfast. This place is fantastic, I met the owners and had an amazing time learning about their food and drinks. I learned that Antonio and Elisabetta are married. They are both native speakers of Italian and moved here just about a year ago. They opened Coffee Break two months ago and have been importing real Italian food and recipes, ever since. In addition, they can brew any type of coffee. They’re very friendly and I encourage you to have a chat with them if you’re in the area.

Reasonable prices and comfortable, edgy atmosphere. Delicious coffee. The staff are hospitable and welcoming. The food is all homemade and so good. The chicken soup was perfection. Planning on going back tomorrow!

Incredible to find a small piece of Europe in Hackensack.

I’m always looking for a place like this to enjoy a good Italian cup of Espresso/​Cappuccino! Amazing food and atmosphere! Simply an adorable place! The day I was there the special for lunch was Pasta & Meatballs… well, the meatballs were the BEST I’ve had, so moist! Sauce was absolutely home made… no jar sauce there! Absolutely a must to try, you’ll fall in love on your first visit!

Clean, contemporary, charming café serving fresh baked goods with a smile. The Nutella crêpe is delicious and the croissants are delicate and yummy.

Awesome interior. lovely environment. the coffees are delicious and refreshing. We ordered one almond muffin and it tastes so good and i loved that. Very decently priced items and all other snacks and deserts are very
short, a wonderful café.

Great place! I go there everyday; the coffee is delicious! The food and desserts are very good; all the ingredients are fresh. I love the leggero sandwich :) the owners are very attentive and the place is very cute.

Great coffee, great service, try the Nutella coffee with the Nutella croissant! I come here in the mornings and order an espresso with a breakfast croissant. Hackensack needed a place like this. It also has lounge chairs for seating.
