Ground Connection Coffee Bar in Hackensack, New Jersey is a modern day coffee shop serving specialty coffee, sandwiches, baked goods and much more.

At Ground Connection Coffee Bar we serve specialty coffee drinks from small batch, local coffee roasters. Our artisan coffee drinks are complemented by farm fresh milk and homemade syrups. We have delicious and fresh made food options such as pastries, a variety of sandwiches, cookies, salads, and more.

Come and try our Cappuccino, Dulce De Leche Latte, or a Green Iced Tea! One of our favorite salads is the kale Chicken Caesar — you will not be disappointed!

We are located in the The Shops at Riverside, and we look forward to seeing you soon!

History

Established in 2015.

Ground Connection is Mascott Corporation’s newest brand. Mascott Corporation was created in 1989 when Markers Restaurant opened in the Harborside Financial Center in Jersey City, New Jersey.

In 2009, Mascott embarked upon another exciting venture: Smashburger. Forbes Magazine named Smashburger «American’s Most Promising Company» in November 2011. Smashburger is an innovative restaurant concept that provides an exceptional burger experience.

Mascott introduced Noodles & Company to New Jersey in May 2013. Noodles & Company has a globally inspired menu that offers fresh, quality ingredients from three different cuisines: Asian, Mediterranean and American. Our menu offers items such as Pad Thai, Penne Rosa and Mac & Cheese. Noodles & Company also offers soups, salads and sandwiches.

Mascott is also a franchisee of Cinnabon World Famous Cinnamon Rolls, Seattle’s Best Coffee and Carvel Ice Cream. We look forward to sharing Ground Connection Coffee Bar with you!

I went to this coffee bar in the center of a mall today to wait for stores to reopen after a bomb scare. My wife and I shared a salad. She had a tea. I had a peppermint mocha. That peppermint mocha was the best espresso drink that I have ever had in my life, going back to when I didn’t even what Starbucks was and thought a Cappuccino was awfully exotic (being from Kansas.)
I would prioritize giving one a try if you are anywhere near.

We used to love and buy the Kale cesar salad from this place but the serving became smaller. We tried to tell the server and he said they really can’t stuff the container with more. I think it will be fair if they start using a kitchen weighing scale. I still recommend this place for healthy food goers. The salads always taste fresh and new!

This place is inside the mall. Awesome place for coffee. They also have a salad and eli bar as well. I got the Lichee milk shake. It was just awesome. Ot was creamy, milky and tasted just amazing (Though rich in Calories)
I will highly recommend this place and certainly recommend to try their lichee milk shake !

Vegan tasty salad, Belgian chocolate soy latte yum! Pistachio muffin? So worth it. This place is dope. It’s right as u enter the mall too and has easy order like takeout n casual chic chairs. Love.

I work in the mall and this is the place to go!!! Excellent customer service, speedy ordering (with suggestions), easy checkout, and best of all the food and drinks are fresh. Love the ability to mix salads and create your own on a more adventurous day. All of my coworkers at Bloomingdales’s make this there morning, noon, and night destination for amazing coffee and delicious food. If you haven’t tried it. It’s a must!

I go to Ground Connection almost every morning. The manager, Alex, is super helpful and very imformative about all products. He used to work with a chain coffee shop, so if something that I want isnt on the menu, he can still make it for me but of course it tastes even better. All their syrups are freshly made. I’m moving to Texas soon and i’m going to be very sad to leave this establishment behind. All the best of luck them!

Stopped here for a coffee while my wife was in a store. Staff was courteous and coffee was very nice. I got what they call a ‘cortada’ — a 4 oz cup of espresso and steamed milk. Nice place to take a break if you are at the Riverside square mall

I’m a huge coffee drinker. I pick up a latte almost anytime I’m out, and I even own a professional espresso machine. I’ve tried coffee all over Northern NJ and NYC, and as surprising as it is to admit, Ground Connection ranks as one of my favorite. You wouldn’t expect it, as good coffee tends to conjure up images of tattoo clad Brooklynites rather than a suburban mall kiosk, but they really are serving up some great stuff here. They use Toby Estate Coffee, which is wonderful, and the lattes have a perfect milk to espresso ratio — I’ve never had one too weak or too strong. If you elect to add a flavor, rather than monin syrup they actually make their own — for example, the vanilla has actual vanilla bean seeds floating in it. I highly recommend this place!
