Holman Moving Systems

Following Paige the manager’s comment of 10/​20/​2015 I’d have expected some follow up. I messaged her to see if there was any update. Crickets. I guess the update is only to make it look like they care. Avoid this company.

I had a great experience with Holman. I contacted Greg to inquire about a move out of NYC. He was fast and efficient in providing a quote. I had movers to pack and load my apartment within a week. I was given a pretty long window for delivery, but was pleasantly surprised when Dana informed me it would arrive within a week. The team who unloaded was fast, respectful of both our home and belongings, and hilarious. We enjoyed working with them. A smooth and easy process for what could have been a huge headache to coordinate on my own.

Holman moved me from New York City out to Arizona. They were extremely professional, efficient and fast! I would recommend using them for any move!

I was reluctant to sign with Holman /​United Van Lines on my recent move from NJ to FL, and I should’ve gone with my instincts. The entire experience with Holman/​United was a nightmare. Communication seized as soon as my documents were signed. Greg and Linda were completely unresponsive — I did not get one call from them at all through the entire process (after documents were signed) and e-​mailing was vague. I should have known when I had to go through my inventory list and remove items that I did not even own! At the time of the quote, we had arranged for a second pick-​up for items that were being stored at a local business. This was included in the price, but when it came down to it, we had to dish out another $ 400 because the only date they had available was after we left. $ 400 got them to schedule this for us before we left. The guys that showed up to load and unload the trucks were fine — I had no issues with them. At the end of the day, I had a couple of missing items, some broken pieces of furniture and missing parts to items that the movers took apart in order to load on the truck. If I had had the time to hire another company and re-​start the process, I would have done so. I do not recommend this company.

From start to finish I had a great experience with Holman movers. Greg came to the house for the original estimate. Very professional and pleasant to work with. Then on to Lynda who was also professional and pleasant to work with and very understanding about any situation. Moving day Keith and crew were great and worked hard and fast packing up fragile items and getting things on the truck. John drove everything cross country arriving earlier than I expected. John and crew unloaded everything, were great to work with and everything arrived in perfect condition. A small box was forgotten on the truck and John sent it to me, he went over and beyond my expectations. Thanks so much John. What a great moving team I highly recommend them.

We just recently moved from MA to CT and had Holman handle the move. They were great from start to finish. The customer service, the speed and efficiency of the move was superb. Keith, Dutch, Andrew, Pepe and all the other movers who packed, loaded and unloaded were amazing. Thanks go to them to make the actual move less hectic.

Our research lab worked with Holman Moving Systems, over other competing quotes. We moved from NY to CA, with about 78,000 pounds of equipment and goods. They are priced competitively and with great delivery timing as promised, and professionalism. The crews on both ends were amazing.
I strongly recommend them for professional and personal moves. An excellent company!

Can’t say enough GOOD about my experience with Holman moving. Greg and Lynda were really great in terms of communication and doing exactly what they promised — every time. The estimate was competitive, and the customer service through the entire process was excellent. The crews on both ends of the move were polite, careful and FAST. Moving can be stressful — working with Holman made it a breeze.
TIP: The full pack option for a few dollars more was worth every penny.

ok, so it’s almost a year since Holman moved us from NJ to California and I’m still singing their praises. When people ask how our move went I have nothing but great things to say. Greg was wonderful, the movers were great and kept us in the loop as they traveled (and got stuck in Northern CA in a snow storm) and arrived when they said they would. Unloading was efficient and a smooth process. I still recommend them to my friends back east who I try to talk into moving out here. Thanks for making a scary time of my life much easier to handle.

Recently used Holman moving & from start to finish they were incredible to work with. Greg Lefkowitz was very professional, reasonably priced & everything happened exactly when we requested. The movers showed up 15 min early and were done just ahead of schedule. They were very courteous/​helpful and made sure we had everything placed exactly where we requested. I would 100% recommend them to all family, friends and clients!

There are many great people associated with this company, but the company’s management failed us when it came to preserving our household goods during our recent move across the country. This was our third corporate relocation and we had more items damaged during this move than any of the others, by far. And the compensation process did not go well. Whether you are looking at using them for your own move or you are an HR executive considering them to relocate your employees, I would think twice.

Recently used Holman Moving/​Hackensack for a move w/​in town. After living in our house for 13 years, Holman’s moving crew (The Rizzo Team) came on a super hot day, packed us up in one day and moved us into our new house. The team, from our main sales representative (Greg) all the way to the 4 movers, the entire experience was seamless. They worked super hard, were courteous, fast, professional and actually fun! I would recommend them without hestiation.

These guys deserve a round of applause. Moved us on a sweltering hot day, to a home with tons of stairs and were nothing but pleasant, courteous, professional and fast. They even showed up early! Absolutely A+ experience with Holman
