History

Established in 1973.

In 1973, the success of the four-​way lock spread worldwide when marketing efforts expanded globally. With the company’s rapid expansion, Mul-​T-​Lock expanded its manufacturing plant and by 1982, the company had greatly increased its product line to include a wide range of High Security cylinders, locks and accessories. To support the company’s growth and reach, Mul-​T-​Lock opened its first sales division in the US in 1987 together with opening of a second manufacturing plant in Israel. In the years that followed, Mul-​T-​Lock has further expanded its global reach; with European sales units and its entrance into the Asia Pacific market. It also began to broaden its operations by manufacturing automatic key-​cutting and assembly machines for external customers. From our founding over 40 years ago, Mul-​T-​Lock has maintained a strong commitment to innovation through R&D, design and manufacturing excellence. Mul-​T-​Lock USA’s current president, Roy Miller, C.P.L is truly home-​grown. As a second generation locksmith, Roy worked his way up the ranks, earning his current position by not just embracing, but devouring as much information as he could about the electronic security arena. Prior to becoming president, Roy served as Mul-​T-​Lock USA’s director of access control, where he gained extensive hands-​on experience in working with electronic solutions for locksmiths. Roy’s combined experiences in being a locksmith and in supporting locksmiths’ mechanical and electronic sales, have given him, and Mul-​T-​Lock, a unique glimpse into the locksmiths’ world. Miller explains, «For me, and hopefully for our customers, there is a true value in my coming from the locksmith channel. Having been a part of this ever-​changing industry for so many years, I’ve always been in a position to understand the specific needs and the unique challenges that our locksmiths encounter.
