Business Owner

A dedicated family man, married to Diane 37 years with twin sons after serving 6 years in New Jersey National Guard. Cares deeply about childern and their future, coached high school ice hockey for 15 years at Indian Hills & River Dell High Schools. Coached Oakland Recreation Baseball for 11 years through AABC. Presently mentoring high school and trade school students interested in careers in the automotive industry.

I beleive in giving back to the community and industry. Served for 13 years on New Jersey Auto Body Association (AASP/​NJ) in various board positions leading to VP in 1992. Currently participating in career day at local schools.

Robin currently an avid ocean sailor is the 2005 Soveral 33 North American Champion and current racing member of US Sailing 20+ years. Also former board member of City Island Yacht Club for 13 years. Presently between running the Ricca Auto Body business, racing sail boats weekly, and also Bermuda Race crew member & Deliver Captai

I went to about 10 auto body shops in the area to get a quote on fixing my 2016 Tesla Model S bumper trying to find someone I could trust to do the job. Some of them took pictures and my info and either never sent a quote or sent it a week later. Some didn’t really want to deal with me because I was paying out of pocket and apparently all they want is insurance jobs which tells you where their head is. A couple said they would possibly fix the car but insisted on taking the bumper off to replace it which I did not want them to do for technical reasons since that would cause me other problems to fix — basically they would not even try to fix the car without taking the bumper off, not sure if for lack of skill or equipment.
Carl at Ricca was the only one who looked at my car carefully, listened to exactly what I requested and gave me the most honest answer I had gotten from any other place, he simply said, «I’ll try». Based on that fair and honest answer I gave him the job. He gave me an appointment and I brought the car in, long story short, I was not expecting perfection under the guidelines of not removing/​replacing the bumper. And not only is Carl a great, down to earth guy but he is truly a craftsman because what he delivered was nothing short of perfection. They literally took the car back in time to the moment before I screwed up the bumper. Bottomline is I could not be more grateful and I highly recommend Carl and Greg, their crew and this place.

More than a Great experience with this guys!
Brought my 2014 Ford Escape after an accident, since the first day Carl convinced me that I came to the right place with his knowledge and ability to deal with Insurance Companies. The estimated lead time for the repair was very accurate and the quality excellent. My car looks like brand new.
At all the time I felt this company was on my side and they are willing to represent you.

I wish I have better ways to recommend Ricca to everyone who needs auto repairs! I had the pleasure of working with Carl Ricca. I was a victim of a hit and run in New York and my car was hit badly in front. Ricca had to take care of the bumper and paint my car. I explained to Carl that I am leasing the car and I really really need it back to its original state. Not only that he worked to get me original parts, but he and his men also did a STELLAR JOB on the paint. I couldn’t be happier and more satisfied with Ricca.
Both Carl and Robin are most friendly and professional people that I ever worked with. The estimates were given to me within a few hours, the job took 3 days and I got free vacuum and the car was really really clean and like brand new when I picked it up.
I already told my workmates about Ricca and one of my officemates is also going to get his Civic paint job done.
Carl, if you happen to see this review, I want you to know how grateful I am for your work and your professionalism. I am a very VERY VERY VERY satisfied customer.

Robin and Carl did a great job repairing my car. Painted and replaced part is indistinguishable from new. Ricca ordered the parts ahead of time and had the car back to me the next day.
Before another satisfied customer recommended Ricca to me, I’d gone to another shop for an estimate. The other shop said the repair would take 1 week and gave me an estimate for double the cost.
I wouldn’t hesitate to bring my vehicle to Ricca for any body work I might need in the future.

Had my wife’s car front fender and head light replaced after a minor fender bender. Instead of replacing with new parts that they charged the insurance company, they glued broken part together and put it back in the car. These guys are dishonest and shaddy. Don’t do business with them!
