From the upscale Tuscan styling to the warm, stress easing ambience, Simplicity Salon and Spa offers a unique experience from the moment you step through the door. The rich earth tones of ivory, green, sienna, terra cotta and gold flow through soft Tuscan style arches, setting an easing, stress free atmosphere for individuals to get a short respite from their hectic daily routines.

I recently got the best haircut and highlights of my life here-I’ve gotten so many compliments over the past month! Valerie was my stylist, and she did an amazing job. The salon itself is bright, clean, and has an overall relaxing atmosphere. The staff is very professional and helpful-​the woman who answered the phone when I called to schedule my appointment was able to book a stylist that was right for my needs. Highly recommended!

Love it here. You feel pampered from the minute you get there. They hang up your jacket and grab you a glass of wine while you wait. The scalp massages during your conditioner are amazing and the hand treatments are a great touch.
Yes, they are drastically overpriced, are very pretentious, and treat their stylists like crap, but the client is welcomed. Plus the clientele is nice. You feel comfortable leaving your purse while you get shampooed

I was not sure if I’d be happy, since the reviews were not current 2013, and I have to say that I was at a loss to find a good salon. Wow, well, I found it. Tammy was awesome, bright, full of energy. Took time to talk to me about the problems I had with my hair. My color is perfect, and shaped it up from a prior cut at another establishment. She gave me some advice on other issues I was having, and I felt very comfortable with her. She’s a positive, «knows her stuff» person.
The salon was magnificent. I felt like I was in the middle of a neighborhood-​like community. Everyone was laughing, talking, having fun. Very warm and friendly.
Go, is my advice. You won’t regret it.

My extremely picky Diva daughter has been going to Melissa Hefner since she was 12 years old and has always been thrilled with the professional treatments and services she has received. Melissa just gave her an auburn ombré style hair coloring and cut and she has had many, many rave compliments on her new hairstyle. The stylists at Simplicity are always up on the latest looks and everyone goes out of their way to make the customer feel special. This salon is as good as it gets here in Hagerstown! Of course its not cheap, they are not ordinary and I would not expect to get this level of performance at bargain prices.

Moved to Hagerstown from California 12 months ago and finally found a salon that provides high quality services paired with great prices — and you don’t have to wait 2 months to get in.
I’ve had both a haircut and massage at Simplicity — both are highly recommended. I booked a cut with Heather Y. and she did a fantastic job. She suggested something slightly different than what I had and it turned out great. A little too short, but my hair grows quickly and the overall cut and style worked very well.
I’ve been to see Jessica twice for massages and she’s simply the best massage therapist I’ve been to in years. She listened to exactly what I wanted and was able to use enough pressure to work out all the knots in my back.
The only other salon worth visiting in the Hagerstown area is Sagitarious, but you end up having to wait 1 – 2 months to see some of the stylists there — and you pay more. Simplicity always seems to get you in within a week of calling for an appointment and they are much more reasonably priced.

Just went here for the first time last night. I called around 2PM and they got me right in for an appointment that night. Stephanie was my stylist and personally I thought she was great. Took under an hour to get a new cut and I told her to do whatever she thought was best. The cut looks great. It was a little pricy however, $ 42 for wash, cut, style, and a little flat ironing.

Has all the key elements to be an excellent Salon & Spa but just falls short and I have had several visits/​services. I really do believe the key is management AND talent. I had an EXTREMELY bad haircut that even the next stylist said there was no fixing. She did however correct the highlights at no additional cost but no compensation for the disappointment or the waste of my time which is MORE IMPORTANT to me than the money. I had a great massage and then went back for a second and was disappointed with a new therapist. Too many strikes ~ I now go anywhere else. :(
