Loulu Palm

Gorgeous place to have your wedding. Just went to one of my best friends wedding here and it was great! They have a house, tent and then the arch near the water for the ceremony. Grass is green, the grounds are clean, the beach is right there— all what you need for the beautiful wedding. They only thing negative is their mosquitoes near the house. So if you have your wedding here, put on bug spray!!! There are no mosquitoes near the beach or windy areas, but near the house and tent area there is. I got bitten so much it was not funny. Other than that, the site is great because you have have your wedding in one location and great photos on the beach and also with the beach in the background.

Kristina did an AMAZING job coordinating our destination wedding in Hawaii. She did not only manage all the vendors but also helped designed the event. She is very knowledgeable of the different local vendors and very able to make things happen! We cannot imagine planning the wedding without her.
We fell in love with the event space at Loulu Palm the moment we walked up. And with Kristina’s help, made the space to be everything we imagined. This is THE spot and Kristina is THE coordinator for any couples looking to have their day on Oahu.

Got to experience the beauty and tranquil site yesterday at the most beautiful wedding I have ever attended. Linda Kress is outstanding! Exceptional venue!!!

Had a family wedding held here and it was so beautiful. Not only did the view look great but the overall event itself. From the beautiful sun setting to the twinkling stars at night. Very big open space and wouldn’t mind having an event being held at this venue. I understand why people would love to get married there in the first place. The view is just so beautiful seeing the horizon and the sun setting.

I recently got married at Loulu Palm Estate (AUG 27) and worked with Linda Kress, who we hired as our «day-​of coordinator». Do not be misled by the words «day-​of» coordinator. Linda worked with us from the start, recommending vendors from bartender, to minister, florist, photographer, caterer, DJ and beyond. She and I exchanged dozens of emails and phone calls throughout the months leading up to the wedding. Something that Linda helped us with immensely was saving us money!!! My husband and I did not have the luxury of having our parents foot all the bills for our wedding so getting the best value without spending a million dollars was critical. I can honestly say that Linda helped me a great deal with budgeting, and essentially saved me several thousand dollars (Approx. $ 12,000) by recommending phenomenal vendors who do not charge an arm and a leg, but still offer a high quality product/​service. She also allowed us to borrow items such as a cake cutter, place card holders, wind clips, etc. This all adds up and we were so grateful to have more $$$ in our pockets for our future, at the end of the day. We had numerous phone calls the months leading up to our big day. Linda had all the answers and was extremely responsive. She is laid back, friendly and knows her stuff!
**The venue: STUNNING. Just beautiful! The property has some serious charm, is manicured with extreme care and in and of itself guarantees a gorgeous wedding ambiance/​atmosphere. I didn’t have a chance to see the venue until 2 days before the wedding. When I stepped foot on the property, I was almost in tears, awestruck by the beauty which far surpassed my expectations.
**Concluding statements and recommendation:
Our wedding rocked! It was beautiful, elegant, colorful, ran smoothly, and every single person had an absolute blast!
I HIGHLY recommend having a wedding at Loulu Palm Estate and hiring Linda Kress as your day-​of coordinator.

Nickie and the staff at Loulu were a pleasure to work with. Always prompt with email replys. Very attentive to detail.
Honestly at first the cost of the venue was a bit hard to swallow… however, major benefits… they let you book at the lowest tier of 100 people and add on. rather than guess too high at your guest count and not get your money back.
The contract and rules seems a bit much at first… but when you reach the end of your wedding day you understand why. They truly are experts at what they do and everything they suggested or stuck too was truly in our best interest. It really paid off.
It is ala carte. meaning they supply the venue. You supply everything else.
We personally loved that. It meant we could choose who we want.
If we were unsure if we needed a certain vendor (valet parking)…, we always listened to Nickie’s advise and she was on point.
Well worth the money!

Looking through the previous reviews, it is clear that it is not unusual to have an amazing experience with both Loulu Palm as a venue and Kristina Domanski as a wedding planner!
First, let me rave about the venue! Loulu Palm Estate is a gorgeous beachfront property with a great island-​style home on it for getting ready. It is well taken care of and the property managers were so helpful and accommodating. I grew up on O’ahu, but now live in Illinois with my husband. We really enjoyed colliding the two worlds with the backdrop and food of Hawaii, but the lawn games, bonfire, and little touches of the Midwest. Loulu Palm is really versatile and could be made to be anything you want! I got the impression that the grounds are well maintained and that they are adding things all the time. For example, there was an adorable new tree swing when we arrived that I hadn’t even heard about! Great prop for pictures!
Second, let me rave about Kristina! I’m a DIY type of person and extremely task oriented/​organized. I truly intended to plan the wedding myself, but let me tell you that I am SO glad I caved and went with Kristina’s help instead. A wedding is not like any event I’ve ever planned and her expertise was invaluable especially having to plan from 4,000 miles away. She knows tons of vendors who are familiar with Loulu Palm as a venue and I suspect we may have gotten even better service because of her connections. She is your advocate with Loulu Palm management and made it possible for us to get special permission to use a second rental vendor for farm style tables. She is in constant contact with you and checks in frequently to make sure things are progressing. She came up with a flawless rain plan in case my tent-​less wedding plan wasn’t possible, which it turned out we needed! She is so calm on the day of the wedding and makes sure that all of the details you worked so hard on come to life.
The only thing I can think of that went «wrong» with the wedding was that the air conditioning in the house went out briefly when we first got there because we plugged too many hair tools and dress steamers into the wall. Whoops! Although, they reset it quickly AND brought in a back-​up air conditioner right away. So I guess on that front, I can attest to the fact that when things go wrong, they are handled promptly and professionally!
All of that to say, I would highly recommend both this venue and Kristina as a wedding planner. You will not be sorry and you and your guests will have an amazing experience that you will never forget!

My husband is from Hawaii and my family are in California and Texas. We decided to have our wedding in Hawaii. We were researching venues and immediately my husband chose Loulu palms! I’ve seen photos and just went with my husband’s choice. I didn’t see the venue until 2 days before the wedding. OMG, photos does not do this place justice! It is beautiful! Ocean front, spacious room and just so green! It is breathtaking! All of our guests loved this venue (even the local guests didn’t know about this gem)
We chose Kristina Domanski as our day of coordinator! She is an angel sent from heaven! She was always responsive, answering questions, and dealt with our vendors accordingly. She has a very calming spirit but still gets the job done. She helped stay calm before the wedding and it went without a hitch! Plus if you go with her, you get some added bonuses like games and earlier access to the venue. I couldn’t of done it without her!

I’m so glad we decided on Loulu Palm Estate (in the North Shore of Oahu) for our destination/​Halloween wedding! I can’t express how perfect this site is and how awesome Kristina Domanski, the on-​site consultant, was!
We wanted all of our guests to have the island/​tropical feel away from the hustle & bustle of the city. I wanted everyone to actually feel like we were in Hawaii. We definitely had that feel! This outdoor location is private and secluded. It is really a blank canvas and you’ll get to really personalize everything! I liked that we didn’t have to go through their preferred vendors except for the party rentals, Pacific Party Rentals (expect to spend a lot of money for the rentals: chairs, tables, linens, tents lighting). We didn’t hire a planner since we got to pick our own vendors for everything. We had both, the ceremony & reception here. There’s a big green grass area, tropical plants, and a beach w/​an ocean view. They provide you w/​the venue from 11am-​11pm, an undecorated bamboo arch for the ceremony, a bamboo bar, some uplighting w/​the color of your choice, and bridal suite to get ready in. You can have an hour for rehearsal. You can chose a day & time for rehearsal before the wedding. If there isn’t an event being held there that hour is yours. There’s an optional man cave for the guys and fire pit for unlimited s’mores for an additional fee too.
Kristina Domanski is the best!!! She is Loulu Palms site consultant. She was the the first one to respond to my email when inquiring about the venue. After deciding on booking the venue she was on top of everything from the get go. I seriously wouldn’t know what I’d do w/​out her for this wedding. She was pretty much my main contact for everything, she was my go to. She emailed and texted me answering all of my one thousand silly questions very quickly, although I didn’t hire her to coordinate (yet). As the wedding got closer I decided to hire her for the «day of coordination». I definitely needed someone to take charge of everything on the wedding day and I knew Kristina was perfect for the job since I was already in contact w/​her beforehand. 6 weeks prior to the wedding is when she started coordinating everything. I was on the phone w/​her for over an hour. She asked for a list of the vendors I have hired, all the details I wanted, we worked on a timeline, she worked on finalizing all contracts and payments. She also set up a spreadsheet on Gmail that we both can edit so we can finalize everything. I didn’t really need to contact any of my vendors 6 weeks prior to the wedding because she handled it all. on our wedding day she was there @ 9am. The girls and I got to the estate @ 1030ish. When I arrived Kristina & her assistant were getting the favors together. I watched her running through the grass area from the window as I was getting ready in the bridal suite. She was talking to everyone setting up and she was setting things up herself too. I think she was stressing over the wedding more than I was (like it was her own wedding that had to be perfect). I don’t think I even seen her sit down or eat all day. She is superwoman!!!
I miss wedding planning and all the wedding emails. I would definitely do it all over again only @ Loulu Palms Estate & with Kristina’s help!

My husband and I recently had our wedding and reception at the Loulu Palms Estate and had the AMAZING Kristina Domanski as our coordinator.
As you can tell from the photos — the property is absolutely stunning and could not have been more perfect for our special day — everyone was raving about how beautiful it was, not to mention the weather was just perfect. HOWEVER, it was KRISTINA that really made the day run so perfectly. The day would not have been as special as it was without her amazing help.
We worked with her from the 6 week out mark, however she made herself available for any questions we might have had several months prior.
Kristina gave us great recommendations for all the vendors we used — and ALL our vendors were perfect and did an amazing job.
As my side of the family is from Australia and I live in LA, Kristina helped coordinate everything via Skype over three different time zones — which was not easy. She helped guide us through the whole process seamlessly and also helped to sort out the gratuity for all vendors (as thats not something we do in Aus). I can’t speak more highly of her.
Our wedding was absolutely perfect, the location, the venue, the vendors, everyone involved. Kristina went above and beyond her call of duty and I would recommend her to everyone who chooses this amazing place.

We were looking for an outdoor venue to have our Ceremony & Reception and we were in awe when we first arrived at Loulu Palms. We walked across the well manicured lawn towards the private beach, and were amazed when we turned around from standing on the beach to see some stunning mountains that backdrop the front of the house. For an outdoor venue it had everything we were looking for, the beach, mountains, palm trees, a place to get ready, a separate place for the guys to get ready (extra cost) and privacy. The house has AC and was definitely big enough for 10 of us ladies to get ready in the day of the wedding. We also rented out the Grooms Hut at the venue and the guys had a great time getting ready in «The Man Cave». We had a wedding planner that arranged most things at the venue, but we did work with Kristina at the beginning to book the venue and she was very knowledgeable and quick to respond to any questions we had about the venue throughout our wedding planning experience. We are so happy we went with Loulu Palms and had an AMAZING outdoor Ceremony & Reception!
Tips for Future Brides
— This venue is a bit on the pricier side, keep in mind you will need to rent everything, but it was well worth it!
— End time of the wedding has to be 10 pm, initially we were concerned with this since most weddings where we are from end 1 am. However, timing was not an issue everyone partied their hearts out and we had plenty of time for the ceremony, pictures, speeches, dinner and dancing. We were also exhausted by 10 pm lol
— This venue is in the North Shore, which is amazing because you are away from all the tourists in Waikiki, but keep in mind that it is difficult to get cabs up to the North Shore at night, making sure guests have some sort of pre-​arranged transportation is key

This house is beautiful. There is nothing like listening to the sound of the ocean waves

My wedding at Loulu was absolutely PERFECT — it was my dream come true! I wanted ocean, beach, and lots of room for the reception. Loulu has all of this and more. I looked at so many other venues on Oahu and there is nothing that can compare to Loulu. Besides the great location and the feeling of your own private secluded oasis, they were so easy to work with. Nickie was very responsive from the get-​go. She answers emails within a matter of hours (unheard of when most people and places here are on «Hawaiian» time), which is so comforting. Even though I know they deal hundreds of brides per year, I still felt that I got top-​notch, personalized service. The whole process was smooth and we did not hit one snag. When the big day came, our guests were truly stunned by the beauty of Loulu. Even our friends who have been to weddings all over Hawaii — and the world — said that this was the most beautiful venue they’d ever seen.
In reading other reviews I feel I should address the concerns that other brides have mentioned. Yes, you do have to use PPR for the rentals, but for good reason. They are totally reliable, easy to work with (see my Unilocal review for them for more details), and have very clean, high quality items. They worked with me to stay within the budget I wanted and I felt really good about the bottom line price.
We used the Loulu bar and arch. Both were great — and free of charge.
If you are looking to have a spectacular and unforgettable wedding in paradise, Loulu is your place!

Loulu is a beautiful place for a wedding; and the property manager, Linda Kress, does a superb job of running it.
Linda was a real difference maker in making our planning process a pleasurable experience. She has a great attitude went above and beyond the requirements of a property manager while helping us in all areas of our wedding. She made great recommendations for caterers, flower vendors, etc. She also helped us out with our timeline, wedding day organization, and numerous other helpful tips and tricks. She responded to every question we could throw at her and did so in a timely manner with a smile on her face.
All in all, I would say we had a perfect wedding and we could not be happier… and Linda had a lot to do with that. She was an invaluable part of our wedding and we can’t thank her enough.

This venue is gorgeous. I was lucky enough to attend a wedding here this past summer. Two of the criteria for choosing this place was that the couple wanted to get married by the ocean, and that they could party all night.
I’m not sure of the history of the estate, but it evokes an old-​time feel of a beach home with an expansive rolling lawn. We joked that it was the longest walk down the aisle (from the house to the end of the lawn where the pergola was set up near the beach):
There is enough room to set up other tents and not feel crowded (this one had a double tent w/​lounge area, bar set up, hookah set up, and reception desk, and catering tent far off to the right):
A drawback that I can see is that the number of guest that can attend is limited because of the parking and valets may be needed. The location is isolated and that’s a plus and a minus. The drive can be long, but because it’s isolated the music/​sound system can be cranked up loud… and it was. There are no neighbors on either side, no homes on the mountain side, and the beach is inaccessible from either side because of the rocky outcroppings so the estate feels very private.
If you’re looking for a place to hold a memorable event Loulu Palms is definitely worth checking out.

Beautiful location for an intimate oceanside wedding.

I am newlywed! We had our wedding here on June 30, 2013. There is much to say about our experience working with this venue. I’ll start by saying that I researched for a Hawaii beach venue for 3 months. I contacted them my very first week of searching. They didn’t allow anyone to sleep at the property. I had to pass on them since my fiancé wanted to sleep at the beach house we would get married at.
At last my fiancé agreed to give me full reign on the venue. I called Loulu Palm again and booked them.
Linda is the property manager and has been the best wedding vendor to work with. She consistently responded to all of my (yes quite a bit) emails and phone calls. She was warm and friendly. We were on a very tight budget. Linda respected our budget and made our planning with her a breeze. She treated us like family.
Pros:
1. Affordable venue rental
2. Amaaaazing panoramic views (ocean and mountains). There is no view of streets or not even another home.
3. Friendly and efficient support from their staff
4. Bathroom have easy access and are spotless
5. Estate home is a traditional Hawaiian home that is clean and adorable
6. The estate and property is very functional and perfect to arrange your event in any way.
7. Music will not be shut down from neighbors because Linda made sure that the speakers were away from where noise travels into nearby homes. Love her attention to details.

9. Groom’s shack. There is a small garden with a clean and fully stocked man cave for the groom and his wedding party. I rented this for my fiancé as a surprise. It comes with it’s own garden and entry. It has fools ball table, darts, fridge, and more. We stocked it with snacks and nice aged Scotch bottle.
10. Lots of easy access free private parking.
11. Property is immaculately cleaned and manicured.
12. Gorgeous scenery for your guest to enjoy. (we wanted to give the Hawaiian experience to our out of town guest and they loved every bit of it).
13. Enough flat ground to work with your tents, chairs, etc.
14. They take AMEX! yayyy for points…
Cons:
1. Need to add A/​C throughout the house and the groom’s cave. Thankfully they added one in the bride’s room just in time for my wedding ;)
2. Stronger electrical power (I believe they are working on that)
This is a must if you want to treat your guests to the beauty of Hawaii. I have researched other properties and this is by far where you will get the most value and enjoy the beauty of our island.

Loulu Palm Estate is such a gem! Just look at the pictures and you’ll see why this place is so perfect for weddings! My husband and I were so blessed to have had our wedding here last August 25^th, 2012. Our coordinator Kristina was amazing! She helped plan our destination wedding and was great with communicating back and forth. Such a relief knowing we had got a great coordinator making sure we were happy with our decisions even though we were thousands of miles away! Thank you to all of the staff at Loulu Palm for make our special day so memorable!
***If you’re planning to have a wedding in Hawaii, I highly recommend having it at Loulu Palm… you won’t be disappointed!!!

Obviously I can’t echo the experiences of the wife/​husband combo, but I came here as a guest of a wedding and I thought it was simply amazing. The venue is very simple but beautiful, with a private beach that opens up from the reception area, even grass that covers the whole shebang, really attentive service, decent facilities (bathrooms can get crowded and hot), decent parking. Its a bit of a sharp turnoff from the highway, and can be hard to see, but its a nice surprise. Great views of the water and the mountains make for amazing photos. Unfortunately, the sun sets in the direction of the wedding area, so everyone will get sunburnt pretty fast in the face during sunset.
Other than that, the place is pretty awesome for wedding. My one complaint, probably has to do with the caterer they dealt with, was not enough food. Probably has nothing to do with the Estate itself.
