History

Established in 2015.

Leaps Ahead Learning was opened as a home daycare in 2013. The owner saw a need for quality, safe, reliable childcare in the area. Leaps Ahead Learning Center was opened in 2015 to fill this void.

Meet the Business Owner

Samantha W.

Business Owner

Samantha graduated from UMBC with a BA degree in child psychology and 30 credits in education. She worked in a childcare center from 2010 – 2013 before opening her own home daycare. Seeing a need for childcare in the area, she looked for a location in Arbutus/​Halethorpe that could fill that need for childcare. She is now leasing space in the previous Ascension School building where she attended grades 1 – 8 and was very involved. The center caters to children age 6 weeks — 5 years and boasts developmentally appropriate and challenging lesson plans. Samantha is thrilled to be in this space and loves watching the children learn and grow.
