Coastside Termite & Pest Control

We had been battling ants in every room of our house for nearly a year and a half when I’d finally had enough. I hate using strong chemicals, so I’d been trying every natural and/​or localized ant killer I could find, to no avail. We resorted to storing all of our cereals, cookies, crackers, etc. on the dining room table because that was the only spot the ants hadn’t discovered.
One day, we had a larger than usual invasion in the kitchen and I couldn’t take it any longer. I called Coastside Termite, and Steve was able to come by about 20 minutes later (turns out, he lives nearby).
Steve sprayed our most problematic areas inside the house, as well as the entire exterior of the house. The cost was $ 200 and the entire job took about 30 minutes. Within a matter of hours, we couldn’t find a single ant in our house or our garage. Money well spent! I only wish I had called them sooner and saved myself a lot of frustration.

This is an overdue review for the wonderful work that Steve and Peter from Coastside Termite did on my house in July and August 2014.
My house was infested with drywood termites, dampwood termites and wood beetles. Coastside Termite removed and replaced the damaged wood in the siding, trim and framing. There was fungus damage to the deck and front steps; they removed and replaced the entire deck and steps, using pressure-​treated construction grade redwood.
In addition, the bathroom had dampwood termites and fungus damage. Steve removed and replaced all the damaged wood, trim and framing, and he installed a new bathtub, shower, toilet and window. He tiled the shower walls and the bathroom floor.
Everything looks and works great! Steve and Peter were very responsive to my requests, kept me informed about the work status, and answered all my questions.
I definitely recommend them for everything from pest inspections to repairs and more.

$ 250 dollars for a 45 minute walk through a templated report seems steep. I guess it’s just what it costs, but sure does seem steep. Kind of wish I went with someone else.

As a Seller it is important to get a pest inspection prior to listing your home on the market, so that you can price it according to how much work needs to be done.
As a Buyer it is crucial to have a pest company inspect the property you have put an offer on. Even if the Seller already has one, you have the right to order a new one from a different company.
