We are new to Halifax and have been trying all the restaurants in the area. So far, we’ve ordered from Bella’s twice. Prices are a bit high but the food is good. Thus far, we’ve only tried subs. However, I’m eager to try the calzone and pizza! The free small soda and chips is a great added bonus when ordering here.

I have never actually eaten here before:(Its Saturday between 5 – 5:30pm, well in their hours of operation. I have now tried to call twice to place my very first order and no answer each time, I gave about 20 mins between calls. Not even worth trying if I cant even order…

Great pizza, great service! A little pricey but worth the gourmet pizza toppings. The only downfall was the cucumbers in my salad were slimy and mushy with an awful taste. I will def order from them again tho.

Absolutely atrocious. Ordered a chicken cutlet sub and the chicken was cold, dry, and burned. Also, they put nothing on it other than the chicken? Ordered from grub hub and threw my sub out after two bites. Huge wasted of money and time(I took over an hour to get delivered)

I haven’t tried anything except the pizza here but so far I’ve gotten the Chicken Fajita, White, BBQ, and Buffalo chicken pizza and they’ve all been amazing. The crust is perfectly cooked and not too thin or too thick. The buffalo sauce is just spicy enough and I’ve always gotten great service. Delivery takes a little long, but given that a lot of places around here don’t deliver I don’t have any complaints. Will definitely keep coming back!

Used Bella’s in a pinch and they delivered! Our friend’s mom passed suddenly and we wanted to show our support by dropping off some dinner at our friend’s home asap. Alas, we couldn’t make it down to the South Shore in a timely manner, so we ordered, paid, tipped, and delivered through Bella’s. Our order was for: chicken parm on ziti, chicken broccoli alfredo on linguini, 2 side salads, and garlic bread. The guy on the phone was super helpful and accommodating. Within an hour of placing the order we received confirmation from our friends that«the food smells and looks and tastes delicious!» Thanks to Bella’s for helping us support our friends by warming their bellies with tasty comfort food.

No onion in the Greek salad, no pita, ken’s dressing in a packet, didn’t use gloves to add the feta or olives

I have to say Bella’s food is very good. But there is a big problem with getting their orders correct. Pick up and delivery, always something wrong. Very annoying. I could go on… Bella’s, please geat your act together, or you won’t be around much longer!

R.I.P. Bella’s, I have tried them a three time now and have not had any luck so we will not be going back. Home alone and hungry so I thought order some food and have them bring to the house. After ordering wings and a pizza then they tell me they do not deliver today. On the front of their menu it’s say that they do deliver. Every time I have tried to eat at this restaurant I had some kind of problems.

Pizza is the best! I can’t wait until they sell it in my supermarket. They are extremely generous with their portions. Seafood platter is absolutely amazing!

Well that was a first and last… 29 bucks for a large cheese pizza, chicken parm calzone and a large fry. Waited 10 extra minutes for my order, ok no problem, I have patience if the food is worth it. Grab my food to go and see that my fries have been sitting on the counter and are ice cold. «Say buddy, can I get a refire on these?». OK so the dude redropped the fries and double cooked them. Alright I’m willing to forgive that even though they were dried out badly. Get home and open up the calzone and literally all the cheese has leaked out one side. Look at my pic for proof. Shame on me for not checking I suppose. Cheese pizza was ok, could’ve used more cheese. Calzone had very little chicken in it. That’s what I get for straying from Santoro’s. You want a decent pizza or massive calzone, that’s your place.

3 strikes and Bella’s is out. Out of convenience and because the menu actually looks enticing I have ordered from there 3 times over the past few months. This was the final attempt. Almost $ 24 for 2 subs and 2 sodas was painful enough, but the subs themselves are not even good and DEFINITELY not worth the $$$$. I just noticed after looking at the menu that they charge for cheese on a sub!!! Are you kidding me? On my last visit, I placed a call from the road for a pickup and I did not have a menu on me. Imagine my surprise when they rang me up and charged me $ 16 for a grilled chicken caesar salad! Imagine my further surprise when I got home and opened my order– it was NOT fresh, they used slimy bottled dressing and there was hardly any lettuce or grilled chicken. It looked more like a side salad, not a $ 16 entrée salad. Seriously, this place is disappointing. I order takeout 3 – 5 times a week and large catering platters monthly-I had high hopes for this place and would have used them often. They have unwelcoming, unhelpful counter/phone staff, they are WAYYYYY overpriced and WAYYYY under quality. I HATE having to leave these kind of reviews because I have been in the restaurant industry for so long, but seriously, how is this place still even in business, especially in sleepy little blue collar Halifax?

I would have given this place 5 stars if they fixed these things. 1. Deliver within 45 minutes. they average an hour if your lucky. 2. Bring the prices down. see the menu. I would gladly pay that much if they made their food great consistantly. 3. Have accurate times for pickup. Dont tell me 30 minutes for one cheese pizza then when I get there I have to wait another 15. 4. Don’t ever serve me a burned pizza again. I would rather wait for a new pizza then you bring me a pizza soo burned that the top is covered in oil and the bottom is black. This place has the pontential to be an absolute hidden gem if they cared more about the food they put out and had just a glimmer of hustle to get the food out. I will still order from you but I now question about going elsewhere. A tip for fisrt timers, LOOKATTHEFOODBEFOREYOULEAVETHERESTAURANT.

Have previously ordered sandwiches — it was a while ago, but I think they were fairly decent. Just recently ordered the pizza — REALLY good. Bella(bunch of veggies) and Nicholas(ricotta & prosciutto) were amazing — leftovers equally good(though that may be partially due to my awesome pizza stone). BBQ chicken was also very tasty — good sauce.

We had tried them last October and had subs which were very good. Price was decent and it was fresh. About a month ago ordered their lasagna and it was one of the best I have ever had. If I was rating just on that I would give a five as well as the service which is excellent. My low rating stems from my order this past weekend which I got doubled charged on my debit!!! Not good is all I can say especially a 35 dollar charge!!! Thanks for nothing. The food was atrocious and I could not even believe it was from here. I ordered 2 steak tip dinners with fries and a chicken parmigiana sub. The tips were actually small bits of much larger tips I am presuming and drowned in terriyaki so I was unable to tell if the steak was of any good quality. The fries were oily and limp with a very greasy taste like they were either in the oil too long or the oil was not hot enough. Either way it was not a good experience and I sadly have to take my business elsewhere especially with the double charge on a debit and bad food in one night.

Bella’s is a welcome addition to Halifax which has suffered from not having many good pizza options for a long time. In an area surrounded by low quality ingredient Greek pizza, Bella’s stands out with delicious thin crust Italian style pizza. The sauce is excellent, cheese is obviously of high quality(you can tell by the texture when you pull) and the crust is always baked to the perfect consistency — slightly crispy on the outside and slightly chewy inside. The staff is always nice and accommodating. They were willing to make a huge pizza delivery to an event we had in Hanson even though it was out of their delivery radius AND a few minutes after they closed! Also, they are one of the few places that will only charge you half price when you order only half of the pizza with a topping, not sure why no one else does this. All in all this is the best pizza you can get in the area(better and a much better deal than purple eggplant in my opinion). Haven’t tried any other menu items except for a meatball sub, which was fair.
