I came here for one thing: Mexican vanilla. I searched and searched the aisles and finally found it. There were two brands, one of which I could buy at Walmart. I was pretty disappointed that there wasn’t a better selection, or at least something more authentic. I’ll be back to try some marinated meat next time.

Whats not to love about the Michocan?
They have huge chunks of Chicharones in the meat department, fresh Tacos and Gorditas in the mini taqueria up front and Pan Dulce sold by the piece. I ran in to buy some spicy chili powder for some tamales we were getting ready to make and they had a nice little variety for a really reasonable price.
I;ve been to bigger, better Michocana’s but this one is just fine if you’re looking for some of your favorite latino staples quick — if you’re looking for more variety go to Fiesta but this is the closest thing that I know of in the area
