If I could give it zero stars I would! We call at 1:30 to see how long the wait is on a Sat. The lady answering the phone says approximately 40 mins. So we show up with our pet at 1:55 and the same lady tells us they aren’t seeing anyone else today! They close at 4:00 and it’s not even 2:00 yet with only 2 people in the waiting room. You get what you pay for. The place is dirty but it’s cheap so they can deny you service 2 hours before they close. Will never go back! Find another place that actually wants customers. They just want to turn you away.

My two dachshunds were very comfortable with the staff and the setting. I found them to be friendly, helpful, and efficient. The only thing I would change is the form so you don’t repeat info when you have multiple pets. The prices are affordable.

They were closed on Wed now. I wish they email customers! I got there with pet and sample for lab work. Wasted trip.

I have a 1 year old Pitbull that is not very friendly with other dogs and I always bring him here! The office staff is always so understanding of my situation and allows me to come closer to closing time when there arent many dogs. All of the vet techs are lovely but when I first brought him here I was a little wary of someone other than me taking my dog into different rooms for tests and exams ect. but he came back with the vet tech and wouldnt leave her side, he loved her! The Vet helped me understand what was going on with my dog and prescribed 3 prescriptions all reasonably priced. This is kind of a rive for me but I dont mind because I love it here!

Bad customer service! I took 3 of my dogs in on Monday ¹²⁄₁₄ to get their shots updated in prep for boarding next week. $ 237. Next day the boarding told me that I was still missing 2 shots per dog and that they could do it then for $ 40. I called the corner vet to compare prices and figure out best alternative. Was quoted $ 33/​dog, saving $ 21 total. The person on the phone was well aware of my price shopping and I decided the $ 21 savings was worth the trip. So I took my time and took all 3 dogs back this afternoon only 3 days after initial visit. At checkout I was charged an extra $ 9/​dog for the office visit. This wasn’t mentioned on the phone call, it made the shots more expensive than the boarding facility and it a wasted my time! I paid an office visit fee on the initial visit. When I complained I was simply told sorry that its policy. Well policy can’t always be black and white and this was a bad call. For $ 27 you lost a customer with 5 pets today. Sometimes it’s worth it to pay more to be treated like you have some value.

Really appreciate the services of this vet. I brought my dog in somewhat Ill. After a short wait the vet office did a number of tests on him. The best part was they told us the cost of each procedure and gave us different alternatives. After a reasonable wait the vet saw him. The total cost was almost half of my previous vet costs and with more testing procedures done on my favorite companion. My animal is now contented and eating well. Yes, I will be seeing The Corner Vet again.

The three stars are for the professionalism and friendliness of the staff members at the Haltom City location, the very reasonable prices on basic exam and vaccinations since they don’t perform comprehensive care, as well as the fact that on a busy day, they offered a callback service whereby they put us on the patient wait list for that day and allowed us to leave and be called when our time approached so that we didn’t have to wait in the office for 2 hours. The staff deserves five stars all on their own. The lack of five stars is due to the rudest, most condescending and obnoxious veterinarian I’ve ever encountered. I really wish I could somehow rate differently for different aspects. Because Dr. Rudeness (I don’t recall her name, and it’s quite telling that the website doesn’t have a listing of veterinarians and their credentials!) deserves a negative star. I know I’m not a veterinarian. I appreciate and respect those who have gotten the education to become an animal healthcare specialist. However, I’m not a reckless, careless, irresponsible or stupid pet owner, and I do not appreciate the blatantly rude implication that I am that I sensed from this vet, complete with eye-​rolling and tone of voice she used. I’m quite experienced in dog ownership and have worked with highly experienced animal experts and advocacy persons.
Upon our new patient work-​up with the vet tech, I was asked about flea/​tick control and heartworm preventative I use with my four moderately large rescue dogs (ranging between 45 – 70 pounds each). I explained that for heartworm, I use Ivermectin 1%, diluted with propylene glycol and administered orally, dosage per body weight and formulated with the diluent in the correct percentage. For flea/​ticks, I give my dogs garlic, in very small amounts, as well as feed them bread that contains yeast (a well-​known flea deterrent). I also keep my yard clear of pests, though my dogs are primarily indoors. When the veterinarian came into the exam room to examine my dog, a 3-​year old lab/​pit bull mix, and administer his vaccines and microchip, she seemed pleasant enough at first. However, I was quite literally stunned into shocked silence when, at the conclusion of the visit, she actually looked at me and stated, quite condescendingly, «I do NOT condone the use of ivermectin to be used on dogs! It’s never been proven to be safe and there are way too many risks associated with people giving their dogs something not proven to be safe!» Ummmm, being that she’s a veterinarian, I’m a little concerned that she is seemingly unaware that ivermectin is the primary active ingredient in most commercially available heartworm prevention AND heartworm disease treatments. So «not proven safe» was an irresponsible and ignorant statement to make. Assuming that I’ve not researched and discussed it with my own veterinarian was negligent, arrogant and ignorant. Speaking to me like that was disrespectful and unacceptable on every conceivable level. Sorry, I’m not an obedient sheep happy to stand in line to pay unnecessarily high prices for commercially prepared pet medications for which this vet possibly/​probably receives «incentives» (i.e., kickbacks, bribes) to «recommend» (i.e., push on) to clients, much the same as I’m not inclined to feed my dogs the crap dog foods often sold in vet clinics (i.e., Science Diet, Iams, etc.) that many vets recommend because they receive «incentives» from the manufacturers to do so. Those foods have excessive fillers, unnecessary and unhealthy ingredients and are extremely lacking in optimal nutritional value.
On her way out of the exam room, this vet actually pointed the folder she was holding at me and very aggressively said, «And STOP giving your dogs garlic! There are plenty of safe flea and tick preventatives that there is no reason to give them toxins!» This was accompanied by an exaggerated rolling of her eyes and huffy grunt as she stomped out of the room. I guess this dumb*ss thinks I feed an entire head of elephant garlic each day to each dog! Obviously, she’s not aware of the benefits of garlic in small quantities and again assumes I’m an idiot. She’s also apparently unaware that ivermectin is a poison, as are all parasitic meds. Furthermore, she must not have seen in the chart where all of my dogs had a terrible reaction to K-​9 Advantix and I will NEVER use any topical skin application for parasite control on my dogs again. Yeah, I have REASONS for doing what I do and I RESEARCH everything before finalizing a decision that affects my dogs. Having never been treated that way by any veterinary professional, I could only stand there speechless, wondering if what had just happened had just happened!!! It was only after I’d left the clinic that I fully absorbed the full weight of the verbal assault I received from that vet. Someone needs to re-​assess her attitude and consider if working with the public in any occupation was the right choice.

We came in with our very sick puppy who wasn’t eating drinking n throwing up. We get there n they tell us right away they can’t help us cause they don’t run test only vaccinations. But they had on a sheet of paper on the counter list of places we can go n explain to us that this certain one is low cost n tells how to get there n we driving there n she told us to make a left hand turn when it was a right. May not seem that bad but when you have a sick puppy it’s not a good thing. N of course once we do get there the doctor is in surgery for another 2 hrs they charge a crazy fee cause we stated it was an emergency n they aren’t very polite helpful nor understanding n not at all low cost. Very disappointed we ended getting help after three places.

This could revolutionize health care for pets. why would you NOT take your pets in for a physical and vaccinations when they are sooooooooooooo reasonably priced? Honest to goodness $ 9 for an exam and $ 9 for an exam. They do not accept appointments, it is walkin only. But if you cooperate and walk-​in first, the receptionist will put you on-​the-​list, give you a speculation on how long of a wait and will phone you when you are up next. So you can go on with your life. I went directly across the street and relaxed at Starbucks. Tuesdays and Thursdays have less wait time. You would expect it to be a shot-​mill. but no, it’s not. The vet really took their time. i am delighted with this service.

I called ahead and was told that this is a walk-​in clinic. When I arrived there was one pet being seen and one in line ahead of me. I waited an hour and forty minutes. The staff could not tell me how much longer the wait might be. I left. Maybe you will have better luck.

I took my two kitties there and was very pleased with the vets and their services. The prices are very good compared to other vets in the area.
