I brought Josephine a bridesmaid’s dress for some tricky alterations. She made them quickly and expertly… And was infinitely patient at helping me figure out what shapewear would work with the cut of the dress! I would absolutely bring her all of my business.

Josephine is everything you could want in a seamstress! She not only makes you feel comfortable in your store, but does the best job possible, and for the best price. She is worth so much more than she charges!
I had her do my wedding dress, which needed significant alterations. She made it beautiful. I couldn’t imagine it fitting any better. I’ll definitely be back for other alterations.
Oh, and one of my bridesmaids when to a nearby tailor and paid a lot for a job that Josephine had to fix because they didn’t do it correctly! Go to Josephine first. It’s worth it!

I completely recommend Josephine! She really takes her time and makes sure you get what you need and want– and she checks with you before doing anything drastic. I just picked up my wedding gown, and couldn’t be happier, especially at this price tag! I’ve had friends pay five times what I did at other places for less work. Thanks Josephine!

One of the great places for alterations in Hamden. Josephine is an excellent seamstress, she is very personable, prompt and customer-​oriented. She is passionate about providing quality work. Prices are very reasonable too.
If you are reading this review, do not hesitate to call Josephine. She was very empathic to my situation and her conversations were very comforting. After talking to her i felt better. Josephine is also very prompt with returning calls. I can assure you; you will not be disappointed by her work and professionalism.
