Ordered some windows and doors for installation. The salesperson was very personable, and gave us a sense that they would have impeccable quality. We even payed more to use Hamel than a competitor.
The Marvin windows and doors were of high quality, but installation was extremely poor. They ruined the plaster on our walls and tried to tell us it was because the house was old. We had other windows installed by a different contractor without issue, so we know it wasn’t due to the old plaster. The trim on the exterior wasn’t appropriately applied and they used significant «gobs» of caulk to fill gaps. Cleanup was poor and I had to spend quite a bit of time sweeping and picking up nails in my yard. They tried to remedy, but the workmanship of the fixes left much to be desired and created additional issues. I would not use or recommend them.
