The Honesdale National Bank

We’ve been banking here for years and we are very happy with Honesdale National Bank. We used to live in Chicago where you had to pay a fee if you wanted to talk to a bank teller, so it is a joy having a small-​town bank with NO TELLER FEES and friendly people to deal with.
When we were looking to buy a house, we found that their lenders were so nice and accommodating, and did everything they could to make the process easy. Not to mention their FAST response times, which is an important factor when you are house-​hunting. While we ended up not buying a house, we will be soon and we will be using HNB for our mortgage because our past experience was so positive.
This is a community bank with the small-​town, personal service that the big banks just can’t compete with.
They do offer online banking and we are very happy with that, too.
After years of Chicago «big banks» where we were treated like just another number on the balance sheet, it is really great to have found a bank where the tellers know our names, the lenders are fast and attentive, and they are involved in the community.
