Ravines Wine Cellars is small winery in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York producing dry, expressive wines.
Ravines has two tasting rooms: one overlooking beautiful Keuka Lake and another next to the winery in Geneva. Both tasting rooms offer an exceptional wine tasting experience with an option to try local farmstead cheeses and artisan chocolates with the wines.
The Ravinous Kitchen is a small eating spot specializing in delicious, locally sourced specialty foods to provide guests with a unique food and wine experience. The Ravinous Kitchen is Open 11 – 5 Thursday-Sunday in April-August and Friday-Sunday during Sept-Nov. Weekends only in the winter.
History
Established in 2000.
Ravines is the creation of Morten and Lisa Hallgren who came from the family winery, Domaine de Castel Roubine, in the Provence region of Southern France. Morten studied Viticulture and Oenology at Europe’s top winemaking school and crafts dry, European –style wines and are some of the of the Finger Lakes Region’s most exciting wines. Lisa’s culinary skills were honed in the kitchen at Castel Roubine and she creates wine & food pairings that enhance the pleasure of their wines while promoting local, organic agriculture.
