Engineering Reproductions does all of the 24×36 printing for our architecture firm because they are incredibly fast and the prints are always high quality. Jon noticed when I sent an incorrect sheet in with a package and called me immediately to get the correct file. Any other firm might have just mindlessly stapled the sets together.
Once, I sent in an order on a weekend afternoon and asked if they could possibly be delivered to my home 40 minutes away. I honestly expected someone to say that it was too far and to expect the prints at the office Monday, but the delivery guy surprised me when he knocked on the door less than two hours later.
It generally takes two to three hours for (about) 15 stapled sets of 7 or more 24×36 sheets to be delivered to Birmingham. That is longer than it took FedEx to print a single sheet for pickup the day our plotter went down.

A business heavy in documentation rises and falls on the strength of its reproduction room. Office copiers simply can’t keep up with 1,000 page colour documents in 40-​plicate and plotting machines balk at producing 80 copies of full-​size drawings. In rush mode, what poor administrator wants to become the 21^st century version of a cooley or machinist, swapping out hot rolls of paper onto a hissing, angry printer?
Reproduction Engineering specializes in printing and binding, but their extraordinary service goes above and beyond the likes of Kinko’s/FedEx. They may not be the lowest bidder but their print room staff go above and beyond to provide quality products in record time. They offer desktop software which unobtrusively allows you to put in orders direct to their plan room, attaching documents and specifying exactly what you want with a minimum of fuss. Reps call back immediately with any questions or comments, a pain free experience that sure beats playing phone tag.
Pickup and delivery both occur in a timely fashion from helpful, professional staff who come prepared. In a pinch, they have gone the extra ten miles to bring materials before an iron-​clad deadline or burn CDs because we couldn’t mass produce them fast enough. Documents can be prepackaged in mailing envelopes or heavy plastic bags for immediate send-​off, another plus if you have to struggle to find packaging which fits in the mailroom.
Thorough review of documents catches small errors or niggling details I might miss after my fifteenth review, and Engineering Reproduction staff are thorough about checking for missing pages, drawings, attachments, and information. Priceless when you’re about to send out fifty copies of a 1,500 page document, and that makes them worth every last penny in my book.
Reproduction Engineering has been there for my department and they even do Saturday printing and delivery by special request. You get what you pay for, that’s for sure.
