Royal Oak, MI
A dive bar with character befitting Hamtramck. Ice cold beer, but not air-​conditioning in sight. A cast of regulars at the bar enjoying, unironically, Pabst Blue Ribbon in the can. A constantly going juke box, and a bar tender ready to turn the volume up on request when your jam comes on. The only glaring issue was a lack of tonic when one customer ordered a gin & tonic, but hey, it was a Sunday night, maybe they had run thin by the end of the weekend. Would not go there every night, but would not be opposed to meeting up with friends there once in a while.
