This is the best authentic indian cuisine you’ll get in Detroit. Delivery takes 45 to an hour but the wait is totally worth it. Their chicken curry, biryani, lamb korma and singara are to die for!!! And dont for get their signiture mango lassi. I’m a huge fan of authentic lassi and this one makes the best so far. huge thumbs of for this restaurant! Even if you’re not familiar with this type of cuisine, give it a try at kabab house. They’ll fill your stomache with 100% satisfaction. Don’t jnow what to get? Then simply google their menus! And there you go, you’re new favorite restaurant in Detroit.

Vegetable Singara was so delicious had to order 5 more! The lamb Biryani was the best thing we ordered so far. Enough for two people. When you order to go they do give you a lot of food. Was not expecting that. Also got the chicken butter something or another lol that was good but basic. Will be ordering from them more! But we will most likely order one entrée to share next time way to much food not that I’m complaining. Just thinking about the leftovers that might sit in the refrigerator lol. Oh if you order the Aloo Chop get ready for some salt. Its like they put a bag of it in that thing. Wont order that again. But the rest was great.

Found this place because they delivered, esp to wsu. Coworkers and I were happy with the delivery and the food had been somewhat consistent this may be our new go to place. Butter chicken is more like a stew and not soupie. We used to. go to on location but they fell of the wagon in terms of quality. My beef with this place is that it was too spicy. Even my coworkers that liked spice, felt it. I wish that when when I ask for mild it really is mind. Maybe the next time it’ll it’ll be different. Matar paneer was on point! Lived it and will always get it and it’s not spicy! I encourage everyone to try this place, even my coworkers that have never had indian foid, this place really did well. They are now like it. The staff are friendly too! The best in its location.

Butter Chicken is one of the best things in life. Getting our two families of three to to agree on dinner here is a breeze. Love it!

If you get chicken, make sure it is boneless. Made that mistake and ended up with joints and shoulders.

I was craving for some Indian food and I decided to try this place. The location is questionable and the inside is quiet dead. However the food was great! It was my boyfriend first time trying Indian food and he would go back to eat there again! Then Naan bread was fresh and the food was amazing! We got the Lamb Curry and Fish Masala, all though portion was small it was very tasty and we finished it all.

Mouchak’s is hands down the best Indian food in the metro area, and the service is wonderful. Highlights include aloo matar gobi, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala. Your glass of water is always full, and the servers are so polite. A note: their credit card machine does not leave a spot for tips so either tell them in advanced how much you want to add or bring cash for tips. The lunch buffet starts at 11:30, and they really are open til 11pm, which I appreciate when I’m tipsy and craving deliciousness. To the person who said they saw roaches yesterday I mentioned that to them and they said they sprayed pesticide a few days ago. So that explains that. I have always found the place to be clean and sanitary.

Y’all. Full disclosure I don’t know how the food tastes. The location while in Hamtramck and therefore getting a pass in a lot of ways still leaves a lot to be desired. But the dealbreaker friends of Unilocal, are roaches. Roaches all over the counter. So many roaches(baby ones, yes, but still roaches) that I walked in to pick up an order and had to turn around and walk out. The food may be good but I’ll never know because I won’t be going there again.

I have nothing but nice things to say about this place. It’s the freshest tasting Indian food I’ve ever had from a restaurant. The restaurant itself is cute and clean if you dine in, but they also really deliver(not just say they deliver on their menus.) I had all Indian food, none of the Middle Eastern, fyi. I’m so happy to have them in town.

They seem to be struggling and look for oppprtunity to charge extra. We went there with 10 other families to have Iftar and agreed to pay $ 10 per plate whereas there are many places nearby who charge $ 6 to $ 8 on average for the same type of food. While eating some of us went to the buffet bar and took 1 or 2 additional item. They charged us $ 16 each because of that. We were upset and naturally felt we will never go there again. I know they are running a business but people knows how much food cost in a certain location. They need to practice better customer service otherwise will run out of business in no time.

Very good flavors, portions for price a bit small but the food was cooked well. The garlic naan was great, I’ll go back and try new foods next time. The meat samosas were a tad bit dry and the could give you a larger portion of the dipping sauce. Overall its good Indian food but there are some details about quality that if were fixed would make the food great.

Wouldn’t say food is true to its name. Nevertheless it is delicious. We ordered haleem and biryani. What we really got was soup and pulao. I loved it. It is value for money. Ambience wise it reminds of an old Indian restaurant. Got some character. Overall I would say if you are craving for some good Indian food for a take out and don’t want to spend a lot, go for for this place.

VERY good Indian lunch buffet for $ 7.99. I’ve been to the buffet a few times now, and the food is always hot and tasty, and does not have the appearance of food that’s been sitting out too long. The buffet changes up every time I’m in there, which gives me lots of opportunities to try a wide range of their delicious food. They seem to do a brisk delivery business, but the dining room is never crowded. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. If you’re in the vicinity, this place is definitely worth checking out.

This is the restaurant that made me believe Indian cuisine is perfect… just perfect. Terrific food, good portions, cheaper than most Indian restaurants around the Detroit area(Chicken curry for $ 6?! Hallelujah!), great presentation, awesome service(waiters are always attentive and friendly), very clean dining room. Really… I want you to go here! It seems they don’t get as many customers as they deserve. Anyway, I’ve had the Butter Chicken(spectacular with rich tomato/butter taste and succulent pieces of chicken), Lamb Biryani(a favorite of my SO), Lamb Korma(full of flavor and tender lamb), and a couple different appetizers. I haven’t been disappointed yet. More trips to Hamtramck for me.

Food wise this is an OK restaurant but there are several shortcomings. 1) Takeout portion size — even with the small containers they somehow fail to give you a good amount of protein but an ample amount of bones! 2) Restaurant cleanliness — ignorance is bliss on this one but the place could use a good deep cleaning 3) Price — For the location, portion size it be a bit cheaper. Overall its one of the better South Asian take outs but I’m still waiting to find that one!

I ordered this afternoon for delivery: butter chicken — shrimp saag — matar paneer and Gulab jamon for dessert. To be honest, the way they delivered and wrapped the food is very neat; signature — cartoon bags and extra plates ! I ate before at Aladdin and Bonoful restaurants in hamtramck but Kabob House food is the best. The food is professionally cooked and extremely delicious. Matar paneer is so tasty and Gulab jamon is yummy! I used to go to Ashoka indian restaurant in troy and I can definitely say that Kabob house food is as tasty as the well known Indian restaurants in Troy !

Food was absolutely incredible. We got a variety of stuff(because this place is crazy cheap and budget therefore allowed) and everything, without exception, was as good as any Indian food I had in London. So, so, so good.(In addition to whatever you order, load up on $ 1 meat samosas!) And the man who helped us out was incredibly attentive and pleasant. Do not be intimidated away from ordering something«hot» on the spice scale; they’re very conservative, and«medium» was a little too mild. Beware, though: order carryout. The dining room is terrifying. It’s FREEZING cold, quiet as a tomb, poorly decorated/under-decorated, and the architecture/layout makes me think it maybe used to be a funeral home. We came fully intending to eat in, and both agreed on carryout within 2 minutes of sitting down.
