The White Birches Motel is a locally owned and operated motel located in Hancock, Maine, the crossroads of the Downeast and Acadia regions. We offer 66 affordable, clean and comfortable rooms and suites, so we accommodate families and groups. Under new ownership in the summer of 2015, we are actively updating the accommodations.

We are conveniently located to many area attractions from Eastport, Campobello Island, The Bold Coast, Schoodic Peninsula, Acadia National Park, Ellsworth, Deer Isle, Blue Hill Peninsula, Belfast, and Bangor. We are also just a short ride to many other beautiful locations.

Enjoy a trip out visiting the sights, with an afternoon of shopping on historic Main Street in Ellsworth, or a day playing a round of golf on our 9 hole, par 34 golf course and lunch at a local café. You will be sure to enjoy your stay.

History

Established in 1980.

The Baileys bought White Birches in 1980 from George Ray. Since then, the couple have added the motel, which has 67 rooms and 10 efficiency apartments. Purchased by Jennifer and Don Gibson in 2014, the White Birches Motel is being reinvigorated!
