Curry Ace Hardware

This is a fantastic hardware store with exceptional customer service you don’t get at the giant hardware stores.
You can be in and out in just a few minutes with just what you need, without wandering up and down long, long aisles with no customer service associates in sight!
I highly recommend this store, and the Store Manager, Mark, is great and gives back to the local communities.

I know nothing about hardware, tools, paint, etc. Wait, correction — I DIDN’T know anything about hardware, tools, paint, etc, until I went to Curry Ace and talked to the most helpful employees ever. I’ve been in here numerous times to buy paint, and they are so eager to help me get the right kind of paint for whatever project I’m working on, and they have always been willing and able to mix up samples for us — I am not indecisive, so we have required quite a few samples. They guided us through deck stains, and helped me when I needed to buy safer paint when I was pregnant, and then I was back to buy spraypaint and one of the employees spent far more time than was necessary with me, explaining the various coats of spraypaint and how many cans I would need for my project. They have a point reward system, too, so we sometimes get vouchers in the mail for $ 5. If only they would send the employees over to our house to actually paint the place… :)

Ever since Curry moved in the neighborhood, HD and Lowes get a lot less business from me. They have great customer service and have most things that I am looking for or they’ll order it. Best of all their staff know what they are talking about and can help you find things.

Free popcorn sometimes, friendly staff, Benjamin Moore paint, locally owned vs. going to the big-​box store for basics. They don’t have any stock in the way of small kitchen appliances or furniture like other Ace Hardwares, but they do have some cutesy things and last-​minute gifts. Be sure to say hi to Ace the guinea pig. They close at 4 on Sundays, so plan accordingly.
