Dolce Med Spa

I am sad to report this was one of the most deceiving and horrible experiences I had… I got a groupon for vein removal, the machine burned/​blistered and scarred my skin — left permanent damage (white spots all over my thighs and feet). The owner pursued the laser company on her own, but I received nothing. She also offered free spray tans and free injectable vein removal in the future, but then she sold the business and walked away, again I received nothing. Then she sent me slanderous emails when I requested info on the selling of the business, new ownership, and how to redeem my free vein removal treatment, as well as other prepaid services. Completely unprofessional and lacking any tact.
Furthermore, I had purchased a package for over $ 1k and did not receive the services. I fully intend to pursue this matter in small claims court. Message me to get your money back together! We can do this. Not right… I feel bad for the staff that had to work under this reign of terror.
I highly recommend also filing a complaint with the BBB.

What a rip off! They sell gift certificates and groupons and then go out of business! Karma will catch up to these Jerks!!!

Business closed in Hanover … That should tell you you something. The facials are short. $ 50 for a 30min rushed facial making you feel even more stressed as long as no privacy. There are no rooms just curtains for the dividers. Lots of people talking. It’s not a nice place. I’m happy everyone lost their job because they didn’t seem to have passion for it. When you have a client you make them feel welcome not like I’m just trying to get through the day… Like nahhh. No tip for you then. Don’t go here. It’s not worth your money. Go to the skin bar in norwell. Well worth it. $ 65 for 1hr facial and they take their time. Nice quality products.

Does anyone know for sure if spa is out of business? Groupon coupon is still on line, which I feel is criminal. My husband just purchased a $ 300 gift card which I guess I won’t be using! Please post if you know anything more about the closing.

Completely disappointed, I purchased a groupon for Dolce a month ago. I have called almost everyday since and no one has ever answered the phone or bothered to return my call. I have also requested an appointment through their online app and have not received a confirmation from them. What a waste of money!

i am so disheartened about the close of dolce. i’ve had nothing but positive experiences from laser treatments, botox, massages, etc. at this point, after the unexpected close, does anyone know how to file claim to recover money owed for services not performed?

I had an appointment last Saturday scheduled for noon. I traveled roughly fourty minutes to find a note on the door «due to unforeseen circumstances dolce med spa is closed». Not only did I drive fourty minutes, I prepaid and it was smack in the middle of my Saturday. I got two reminder texts for my appointment but no one calling to tell me they closed?

Went just a few times to make sure I wasn’t misinterpreting something The owner is very pushy and abrupt The staff, in my opinion, wasn’t very well educated on many areas I went two years ago and have never been back They are not prepared as they should be for appointments But honestly, I was so put off by the owner. that’s the main reason for no return I have heard similar complaints from others

Buyer Beware! they recently changed hands and are not honoring any pre-​paid services. The manager says she will call you back and does not! looks like I am going to have to go to small claims court to get reimbursed for services I prepaid because they cannot perform the services!

I have such mixed feelings about Dolce. I have had laser hair removal here and cannot rave enough about the girl who does my laser. She is so personable and good at what she does Im obsessed with her. Also, the building is so plush, so beautifully decorated and welcoming, really makes you feel pampered.
The owner (Tracy) on the other hand seems like a genuinely awful person, I have witnessed on three different occasions this woman treating her staff like dirt and being rude to them in front of customers. Why anyone would work for someone like that baffles me. I find myself hoping she isn’t there every time I come in because it makes me uncomfortable to be around her.
To give an example of my experience, one day I came to Dolce for laser looking like an actual corpse, hungover with last night’s makeup on. My laser girl joked with me as I explained how I felt like the crypt keeper and told me that the new makeup girl was in and I should totally let her do my makeup which was free. I figured, why not, and had my makeup done. Midway through the makeup application, Tracy showed up, grabbed a makeup brush from the poor girl and started putting makeup all over my face, making me and the makeup girl visibly uncomfortable (and making my makeup look heinous). After I looked in the mirror following Tracey’s take over I exchanged a glance with the makeup girl that basically said «sorry your makeup looks like that» and «sorry you work for an actual lunatic» and went on home to wash off my new drag queen look.

Place was super cute! Had a groupon. A little nervous. getting botox for the first time. Decided to get Juvederm to lips too. The nurse that did it was amazing! The owner was super nice too! I will be back! I drove all the way from Rhode Island and as long as the results stay I will continue. Love it!

I have been a customer of the wonderful Spa for over two years now. I first experienced Dolce after a violent dog attack and had very special needs to be handled. I was treated with respect and privacy during my visit and the staff adjusted the treatment to suit my ear. I have had several body wraps, which are beyond relaxing, detox your body and make you feel as is you are wrapped in a warm cozy blanket. I’ve had Botox several time, the results were amazing. I looked like myself but well rested and refreshed, not over done. My latest visit was for a new facial they have that is done via an ultra sonic machine. My skin has never looked so good. I went out that night and more people asked me if I had done something ton my face, injected sometthing, filled something. it was the facial and the high quality products that were used.
I go back often for a variety of treatments and would tell anyone looking for a wonderful spa experience to go to Dolce. They have been wonderful to me over the past few years and have worked with my special needs. They are a wonderful to work with and be treated by. The owner Tracy is a doll and will make sure your experience at Dolce is a special one!
I’m going back as soon as I get the ok from the surgeon for another facial and can’t wait! I love this spa, the experience you have and the treatment you get!

I recently went to Dolce Med Spa because I was in serious need of a facial and a wax. I called and was able to get in same day! There is ample parking, and the entrance to the spa is super gorgeous — inside was just as wonderful. The ambiance is fantastic and really makes you feel like you are at a world class spa. The service however… not so much.
I opted for the deep pore facial and after filling out my paperwork I was quickly ushered to a large chaise like chair with tons of blankets and pillows. While it was super comfortable — It was also around 90 degrees that day so I felt it a bit warm. My esthetician got started and literally hit the ground running. She was talking and moving so fast that all of my relaxation went right out the door.
The facial was quick… too quick — lasting about 20 or so minutes and I just didn’t get that clean, refreshed feeling I feel like you should have when you spend $ 75 for someone to rub lotions/​cleansers on your face. She was explaining everything in detail that she was doing but I feel like a more calm/​soft description would have kept the mood from feeling so harried.
After the facial I moved into another room where I was going to get my first brazillian wax. The woman made me feel SUPER comfortable and did a great job with the whole thing. However, during my facial I had asked if I could add a lip wax — she said no problem. During my brazillian she mentioned again how it was no problem to add it on… but then once she finished the brazillian she literally bolted out of the room while saying «okay you’re finished!» –No lip wax. I was bummed because I was flying out for my wedding that weekend and this was the last chance I had to get it done — but I didn’t feel like chasing her down and asking her to come back in.
After I dressed and went up front to pay, she was sitting in the lobby doing something that looked like texting on her phone and completely ignored me as I was checking out. I didn’t expect her to hold my hand on the way out — she probably just forgot about the lip wax… but come on now.
Overall — Don’t waste your money. I will be sticking with Charles David from here on out where I pay the same and get a much more thorough treatment in a truly relaxed setting.

So many different opinions of Dolce. Why the inconsistent service?
I experienced a wide variety of customer service which is a training opportunity for the owners. 100% of my appt times have been messed up, requiring confirmation calls and 1 cancellation, which is unacceptable.
Lovely décor, quality robes and laser equipment. Inadequate explanation and teaching on what the treatments entail, pain, and recovery time caused me some anxiety. Treatment estheticians are well trained but again need to explain any treatment that involves pain and after care.
I am having good results but did not appreciate the bait and switch when I presented my Groupon.

This place was awesome. Great ambiance and the best massage ever. I will be back.

I have to agree with Lauren C. I was disappointed as I felt they were unorganized. I was not impressed. The décor was gorgeous but the staff seemed distant, borderline rude and phony. My facial was completely chaotic as the girl walked away for about 40 minutes for someone that had arrived late. Was not relaxing, very «choppy» facial and poor excuse for one. When I checked out I thought the owner was rude and never once smiled. Very poor service.

I have lived on the South Shore all my life and for about 15 years I have been to many spas and salons in this area. This place takes the cake! I felt like I was in Beverly Hills. it was so gorgeous and classy. I was offered a robe, slippers and champagne the first five minutes I was there (I was already won over) and the facial I got (Ultrasonic) was fantastic. The esthetician Nicolle I had for my appointment was so nice and went above and beyond for a basic treatment. My Mother also went for a massage, she said it was the best she ever had!
Going back again (a week later) for a peel. Looking forward to it!

The new nurse that applies botox is fabulous! Stephanie is very knowledgable and super informative. She also gave me her professional history which put me at ease that she didn’t just start injecting. She also schedules follow up appts so that she may see the progress and correct any issues, which is unlikely but the follow up is wonderful. The cost per unit ($ 14) is quite high, higher than what I’ve found elsewhere, but at least the service is great. Kate D is also great for facials, waxings, etc. Comforting, pleasant and experienced!

My boyfriend and I first went to Dolce for a couples massage back in May 2012 and we were pleased. Nothing extravagant. So we decided to go back for another couples massage. We booked for a Saturday in late Sept 2012 for a couples massage, we booked a month prior to the appointment. When we got a confirmation call the day before for our 5pm couples massage appointment, all seemed well. An hour later the receptionist called me back to say that someone (of course no one owns up to their own mistake, it was always someone else’s fault) had booked the appointment wrong. The receptionist told me that not only does the salon doesn’t offer couple massages on Saturdays, they they close at 5pm — the same time out appointments were suppose to be. I explained my frustration to the receptionist and asked to speak to the owner, Tracy. She called me back an hour later, and after arguing with her (she tried to put the blame on me), and after name-​dropping where she used to work. She finally offered us another day for the couples massage and a free luncheon with a bottle of wine. When we showed up for our appointment, we sat for 20 minutes before being taken. When the employees came to take us into our massage room, or so we thought, they started off with «so you’re having facials today.» I told them that we were here for massages. They both looked dumbfounded, excused themselves and came back another 20 minutes later to finally take us into the couples massage room. No one ever apologized or brought up the fact we where there because of previous issues. When the massage was finally started up, Tracy and a male massage therapist would be working on us. Tracy did not do a very good job, she was not fluid in her movements and for example, would spend 15 minutes on one leg and only 5 on the other. My boyfriend said the male massage therapist was ok. Once the massages were over, we changed and went back to the receptionist. Tracy never had anything to say about the errors of the appointments to begin with and did not see us off. Not to mention, they never gave us our luncheon. And by that point, we could not wait to get out of there.
It really is too bad, the salon is beautiful but as someone else has said, maybe the could spend some money on a receptionist that actually knows what she’s doing and an owner who cares. I have worked in a salon for 10 years, so for Dolce to act the way they did, was very unprofessional and unforgiving. We will not return and would not recommend it to anyone!

I enjoy going to spa’s. I decided to try Dolce Med Spa out and was disappointed from the moment I entered the building. I must say, the décor was beautiful but I think the investment money would have been better spent on properly training the employees.
First we waited twenty minutes because our appointment was not recorded and the receptionist complained about another employee not being organized. Tracey (the owner) took me to to a room where I waited another twenty minutes. When she was giving me my facial I felt very rushed. She threw towels in the corner of the floor and could not get me out fast enough. Never got the paraffin hand treatment that was part of the package. Not a good experience.
Will not be going back or recommending Dolce Med Spa.
