Some of the best ice cream you will have hands down. They have many great flavors to choose from, I’ve had the apple pie, chocolate covered strawberry, chocolate cake batter, brownie batter, loopy, and more! If your looking for a diversity in ice cream flavors this is the place to go. And if you love waffle cones try theirs, I promise you won’t be disappointed. The prices are pretty reasonable as well. So far there are 2 locations one in McSherrystown and the second in Gettysburg which is great if you have family or friends visiting, put this on the to-do list! They will be fans for life! A third location in New Oxford is coming and I can’t wait! Adventurers and ice cream fans alike check out this place!

Great little place. The staff was friendly and there were lots of great flavors to choose from. We’ll definitely be going back!

This place will end up winning awards, I just know it. My family and I come once a week, if not more, and there’s always something new to try. Definitely a must if you’re in the Hanover area.

Great ice cream! Some of the best in the area! Really cool and different flavors that I’ve never seen before. Only request that they start doing half scoops, so I can try 2 different kinds but only one scoop! Love when places do that.

Once you have the ice cream here, you will never want to go anywhere else! The owner obviously puts a lot of creativity and passion into coming up with flavors! So many options and always something new to try. I’m very excited for the new location to open.

Best ice cream in town. Made fresh daily not a chain, amazing favors at a great price. The flavors change all of the time, so you never know what you will get.

Overview: Terrible customer service. Food: N/A — see Service section. Recommend: N/A — see Service section. Atmosphere: Clean and tidy. Not too many seating options when they’re busy, but on nice days you could eat outside. Service: I went to Half-Pint Creamery because I had read a post on their Facebook page advertising lactose-free ice creams and also frozen yogurts. As I am lactose-intolerant, I was very happy to see this and so I eagerly went soon after. When I arrived at the store, it was busy, but the staff did move pretty efficiently. However, when my turn came, I inquired about the aforementioned lactose-free ice cream and yogurts and I was told in a very cold tone, «we only serve REAL ice cream here.» As my body cannot process the regular ice creams, I responded that I wouldn’t be able to purchase any because of my condition and I had come specifically because of the Facebook advertisement. I was instantly dismissed without so much as an apology since I wouldn’t be making a purchase. While I have heard that their regular ice creams are delicious, I was very upset by their rude treatment and do not plan to return, whether or not they ever do actually serve items I can eat. I was very excited about this shop, especially because I love supporting local businesses. I am very disappointed at the reception I was given. While they were very busy that day, it does not excuse the rude and dismissive behavior.

Honestly, once you hit up Half Pint, any other ice cream establishment is going to seem incredibly humdrum. The creator puts out something for everyone– and you never know what’s going to be on the menu when you walk in. I’ve had Cinnamon Toast Crunch, pumpkin cheesecake, Lucky Charms, root beer, raspberry, Dunkaroo… and even the classic chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. It never gets old and the staff will let you sample whatever you please before you decide. You have the option of ordering it in a dish, but if you’re in the mood for ice cream, you must go for the homemade waffle cone. The employees won’t skimp… that cone will be full and you will enjoy every bite. When you go to pay, there is even a little stand for your cone so you can free a hand to pay(and of course, tip the wonderful people behind the counter). This has become such a fun, local tradition for my friends and family. When visitors come from out of town, I put Half Pint on the MUSTDO list. They are open seasonally, so make sure you get there and get there often.

Yummy yummy ice cream and really cool flavors. The only down side is flavors rotate so they might not always have the one you want! Very busy but the line goes fast!

Tried this place for the first time last night and will definitely be coming back. They had tons of amazing flavors(Dunkaroo anyone?!) and it was hard to choose! Between the two of us, my husband and I tried four flavors and each was good. The fudgey peanut butter was awesome! Not the best ice cream I’ve ever had, but definitely the best in Hanover, maybe even PA. Blows Bruster’s out of the water. Prices are a little high, but it seems like you get a good amount of ice cream per scoop. A good find indeed!

Definitely get it on the waffle cone. Just opened and the line is out the door, but it moves fast and worth the wait. Original and delicious flavors.
