Good selection of house special rolls. And the standard type found elsewhere. The difference is this place has high standards and delicious ingredients. The environment is cozy too. The music playing isn’t too loud and isn’t bad. This place is the best sushi joint in the greater Clackamas area. Sure beats the hell out of those«fast food» track places nearby. The service is good.

Decent sushi place for the Portland metro area which doesnt say TOO much. The prices are kind of high for the quality fish you get but the service was excellent and the atmosphere nice. I’ll be sticking to my five star sushi place which is actually cheaper.

The hamachi was not very good, tasted not fresh. Music was awful too. Meh, so many sushi restaurants so little need to go back to the mediocre ones.

Tried it out with a groupon. Very busy but great service. Fresh fish and hot miso! Without the groupon they are a little expensive but still good food.

It’s true. Service here is great and the place was clean and tidy. That counts for a lot in my book. I wanted to order«to go» and the gal sat me at a table and brought an ice water while I looked at the menu. I ordered California Rolls, one regular and one deep fried. Also got cucumber salad. I preferred the regular Cali Roll over the fried just because of the grease factor. Cucumber salad had toasted sesame seeds and a few scraps of lettuce on the bottom, lightly seasoned. I like mine seasoned on the heavy side with seaweed and no lettuce but it was still good.

This is one of our favorite sushi restaurants. The people are always nice and the food is really good. I would like a little more selection and transparency in pricing. They are a tad on the high side for cost.

Rolls are great but just about 30−50% overpriced. I would come more often if it wasn’t so expensive.

We got immediate service, very friendly folks. We ordered a California roll, oregon roll, spicy tuna roll, and a monkey roll. All were exquisite! My water was kept full and the environment was very pleasant. We will definitely be coming back!

Low quality ingredients and generally expensive prices. Place was clean and service friendly. The chef truly knew what he was doing given the presentation, but the quality of ingredients wasn’t worth it. Overall experience was unremarkable and no reason at all to come back.

This place is like a second home to me:) Always clean and friendly. The food quality and preparation is tops! I’ve had many kinds of rolls, nigiri, towers, all fantastic! The smoked salmon is the absolute best! The only place I will eat sushi at!

I bought the groupon to this joint and I’ve been reading up on Unilocal how ‘great’ the sushi is. So, we decided to go on our date night. It turned out, date night, turned into family night. But we didn’t care, we had that groupon to spend and it was the last day before expiration, so off we went. My poor husband is not a sushi lover. Hate it. Despise it. Think it’s ridiculous although I remember distinctly how he used to(pretend to) love it as I dragged his ass to different sushi places when we were still dating, I wonder what happened… but I digress. Lucky for him, they have teriyaki menu! Chicken.steak.(wow, teriyaki steak! Are you sure it’s not ‘beef’ oh… well they’re the same thing I guess) then salmon! My husband ended up contemplating about trying the salmon but our son insisted that he order teriyaki chicken because it’s his fave, and of course, our son is the boss of us who always wants to dip in any meal we have… Anyway. Thanks Unilocalers for giving me tips about the spicy calamaris and the Kamikaze rolls. Wow. The calamaries were great, and it was less salt then what we’re used to, but the taste was just right. Then the rolls. Omg. Loving those very much. I’m a sucker for raw salmon and unagi then spicy food, it was a party in my mouth. The bento box dinner was a neat one too. My son loved it, it got his fave teriyaki dish and cali sushi roll; party in his mouth too, I suppose. And the miso soup, oh yeah, he gobbled that one up too. Now the con. Holy crap batman, it was rather pricey. Then the service was a little slow once the dining room was filling up. But it’s not so bad, she really did try her best to wait on everyone, she may be not be very experienced… It didn’t offend us that she took her sweet time checking in on us, we even left tip for her effort. Would we be going again? Yes, but next time probably for lunch :)

We had the Kamikaze and Denver rolls with Spicy Calamari for an appetizer. All of it was delicious. Service is wonderful. The sushi was very fresh. I was a little surprised by the prices at first glance but we did purchase a Groupon so I thought it was worth a try. Definitely worth the price for the quality rolls you get. It’s not the place for you if your used to cheap conveyor belt sushi. This is made to order with a lot of attention. Will definitely be back.

My fiancé introduced me to this wonderful sushi spot in the first couple weeks we were dating. He and his best friend had been regulars of the NE location for years, and said I had to try it out for myself. I had never had«real» sushi before, as I didn’t know what to expect and was hesitant to try something new. Today Bluefin is one of our favorite restaurant go-to’s for its excellent service, friendly and personable staff, and always delicious sushi. Upon arriving at Bluefin, we are always greeted with a smile by name– one of those little things that is really stand out in any business today. The entire staff treats us like family, asking us about our own business, and quickly serving us with what they have now memorized as our regular order and drinks. Granted that we have only just moved to the Clackamas area within the last year, this is really something special. As I said, my fiancé and his friend were regulars in NE, not here at the 82nd location, so this speaks very loudly to us. It is clear that the restaurant values its customers, and they have achieved lifetime regulars out of us because of it. As for the sushi, I can only describe it one way: PHENOMENAL! We love the«Monkey Brains», the Kamikaze roll– a combination of half salmon and half unagi or eel. Yes eel. It is easily my personal favorite. We also love the baked mussels. All of the specialty rolls are out of this world good. There’s really nothing I’ve tried here and not liked. The restaurant itself is quaint, but very clean with beautiful décor. I love that it is set in such an intimate setting with such positive atmosphere. Always fresh. Always friendly. Always leaves us wanting more. Thank you Bluefin! We will see you again soon.

This was ok. We went in with a coupon, so we planned on ordering a good quantity. It was just a shame we couldn’t order some of our favorite rolls(spider roll, rainbow) . They were out of uni and another fish that was ordered, the red snapper was really mushy. Now the good… The calamari appetizer was very delicious. The waitress was friendly and the chef gave us some suggestions to replace. I think we will try a couple of other places around town.

We walked in 2 minutes to close on opening night. The restaurant was empty and the employees eager to serve. The restaurant is decorated in heavy navy blue overtones, signalling a far departure from building’s former tenant, Dunkin’ Donuts. They use table clothes and candles, a refreshing contrast from the several casual sushi establishments within it’s 2 mile radius. We started with the recommended Salmon Tower for an appetizer. It consisted of diced salmon, capers, tomatoes and onions layered between a tower of fried wonton skins. We thought it was interesting. The more we tasted, the more we wished that there weren’t so many capers. The capers were overpowering the dish and it was difficult to taste the fresh salmon let alone anything besides the salt. It just needs a couple tweaks, but overall, a good concept. We ordered the Oregon, Spider and Yellowtail Rolls, as well as an order of Creamy Scallops. Every Roll was superb and spot on. No flaws, whatsoever. It seems like there are a hundred restaurants to pick from down Clackamas’ 82nd Avenue strip; however, it’s hard to find one that’s not a chain and most importantly, serving edible food. For this reason, Bluefin Sushi will be our go to spot for in Clackamas. A diamond in the rough. (They’re open until 10PM on Fridays.)
