I looooove this store and all the employees in it! I have a wedding coming up that I’m a bridesmaid for and I had Johanna helping. Let me tell you, greatest service I ever had. Made me feel so comfortable and listened to every thing i needed. Definitely going back there to her when I get married.

Best friend had the WORST experience… She’s a bridesmaid, could you imagine being treated so poorly as a BRIDE?!? This place will bring out the bridezilla in anyone…
This is what she’s gotta say:
First of all, when I went to go find my dress for bridesmaid for my brothers wedding, they were very impatient with me, even though there weren’t more than 4 people in the store. The lady asked me what my size was and told her I’ve never been measured. Then she humiliated me by rudely asking, «what, are you a 14, a 16? What are you?!» Finding out being a size 8 and nowhere near the sizes she claimed was offsetting, accusing me of being overweight. My soon to be sister had already bought all the bridesmaid dresses, which I didn’t find out until later, and they made me pay for my dress. So double charge right there. I had noticed that one of the buttons was falling off the sash and they told me to keep it there for 24 hours so they could fix and clean it. I picked it up the next day in a rush and for went inspecting it. I get all the way to Nebraska, take it out of the bag to show my family, then noticed, the button was still messed up, and there are stains all over the dress!!!
I am extremely dissatisfied, and will never be going back there again except to talk to the higher ups and getting my money back for the crap of a dress they sold me.
Unfortunately I had to give at least one star to write a review, otherwise they would get none!

I just recently bought 4 bridesmaid dress here and I was very satisfied with the customer service. She took her time to look at all the sizes and color that I needed. She also took gave me as much of a discount as she could with coupons.
But the reason for making giving it 2 star is because she never inform me about the no return policy or how long alteration would take/​cost when I told her the wedding is very close to the arrival of the dress. I wish I knew about it so I have a better understanding so I can explain to the bride. I never thought that a big store like David’s bridal would have the no return policy.

Apparently David’s Bridal only want to help people who fit into a specific price range. Went to ask if they had a specific dress and was told no– but they’d send a stylist over. No one came over– finally we grabbed someone else who said, «yeah I was told about you.» She took us to a dressing room with the two dresses I picked out, didn’t offer to help me find anything else or ask any questions of what I wanted and then left. Never came back or offered to assist further.
As we exited the store she then looked right at me and kept walking.
Way to make your customers feel like second class citizens, David’s Bridal. Not all of us can afford thousands of dollars on a dress. Will never go back or recommend to anyone.

I went in just to look and ended up leaving with my beautiful wedding dress. I had major anxiety about looking for a dress and was pleased with my experience. I worked with, Chelsae, she was calm and helpful, making every step easy.
We will be back for our bridesmaids dresses very soon!

So many things to say about this store.
I am the Maid of Honor for my cousin’s wedding in May. I had purchased three dresses (from other stores/​online) previous and didn’t like any one of them. Needless to say I was at the end of my dress buying rope. I needed to find a dress and fast, so I booked an appointment with this David’s Bridal location to find a dress.
I went online to book the appointment, and the online software told me to pick out some favorites so that I would be able to try them on during my appointment. I spent quite a bit of time going over the styles with the impression that I would be able to work with my sales rep and make this process as quick and painless as possible.
When I arrived for my appointment, it was chaos (no points off here, I’m sure Saturdays are a ZOO). A sales rep came and got me after I checked in, let me know there was no way to look up my favorites on her end and dropped me off in the bridesmaid section and left. After aimlessly searching for a while, she came back and mentioned the board with all the styles. BINGO. That sped things up quite a bit, because I was able to point out the styles that I had already selected to try on.
Maybe it’s my lack of experience in this area, but I was a bit suprised to see that the dressing rooms had no mirrors in them, and they felt a bit like trying on fancy dresses at a Wal Mart. I didn’t expect to be dressed like the brides are, but I feel like some opportunities were missed here. I did appreciate the use of an in-​store strapless bra since I forgot mine. I just wish I didn’t have to walk out in various states of dress in front of the entire store just to see how a dress fit.
Needless to say, I found a dress that I loved that was in the colorway (Light pink) that the bride wanted (we had just gone through a color change the prior week), so I was ready to complete my purchase.
My sales rep had to call corporate because I had asked for the dress in a longer length. While she was on the phone, she mentioned the color of the dress was ‘Mint’. I spoke up and asked her if that was correct because «Mint» does not sound like it would be «Pink». My sales rep assured me that the «Mint» was the pink that I tried on and the designer just used weird color lablels on their dresses. Couldn’t get the dress in a longer length, not an issue. I handed over my credit card, completed the purchase and walked out.
Flash forward to Monday, and I was showing my co workers the dress I bought. they asked what color I purchased, imagine my suprise when I found the «Mint» color and discovered that I had ordered a GREEN dress.
I was immediately on the phone, and THANK YOU to the store manager I spoke with, I was able to order the correct color dress with a few text messages (thanks to a friend who was taking pictures of the dresses so we could text the bride) of pictures sent and we were all set.
All in all, it wasn’t an experience that would send me back to David’s Bridal anytime soon.

They also told me that their credit application was a SOFT pull, and not a hard inquiry. I just checked my credit and it was absolutely a hard credit inquiry.
I won’t even be using their credit card, so what a load of crap.

I originally went into this Davids Bridal to just browse, but left with a smile and my dream dress. Johanna (H, if I remember correctly), was marvelous; she kindly helped me in each of her picks, asked how my family and I felt about each, had a small opinion and pulled some great dresses that were similar to my first choice.
She was not pushy, she was very kind and made me feel important despite the amount of girls and how busy they were that day. She even understood the pun in my wedding date! There was no hard selling, just small suggestions and I felt like we we’re able to make decisions on our own. Ultimately, we decided to buy the 1,000 dollar dress that was on sale for 500 and the dress bag.
I was so lucky to have found a dress on the first try that fits (I’ll have to have it slightly altered, no biggie), but I was also lucky to have a great experience along the way. Thanks Johanna, and give this girl a raise corporate.

I went here with a friend who is getting married. I was not impressed with the selection of wedding dresses. The staff who was helping us told the bride that she could only try on 5 dresses where other bridal gown places let you try on as many as you’d like.
The girl who was helping the bride with the dress didn’t tighten the dresses in a flattering way so that didn’t help show if the dress would look good or not.
The prices seem to be less than other stores we have been to. So if you are looking for a less expensive dress, you may be able to find one.

Everyone was so sweet and made my visits seem special. I really appreciated the way they walked my friend and I through the bustle– the alterations department was kind, detail-​oriented and fast.

Itzol was a huge help! She was so patient with me since I was so indecisive, plus when she left to go help other people she always let me know so that I knew she wasn’t leaving me. I would recommend this place to other people, it can get busy but they do their job! Itzol was super friendly and welcomed me into the store too, so I was definitely noticed as I walked in! Thanks ITZOL! I WILL be coming back!!!

My mom and I and went into David’s Bridal back in January to check out this one particular dress I had found online. Haley was my consultant and she suggested I try on a few other dresses just to make sure the one I came for was the one. I didn’t want to pick any out so she picked a few that matched the qualities I said I liked.
I tried on several dresses but ultimately bought the one I’d came for.
I was hesitant to go to David’s Bridal. I had been there a few weeks prior with my best friend looking for bridesmaids dresses for her wedding. Our consultant ditched us and we were left by ourselves for over an hour to get a dressing room and get the dresses on ourselves. When it was time to order the girl at the register didn’t have any info on the dresses or sizes we needed because our assigned consultant wasn’t with us. She quickly came over, claiming that she’d been helping us (so she could get her commission). I let her know that she didn’t help us so she could go back to the group that was apparently more important then us.
Haley was amazing when I came in for my wedding dress. She listened, she helped and she was encouraging. She went above and beyond and I’m thankful she was my consultant while finding my dress! Thank you Haley for the great experience!
Even though I had a pleasant experience with Haley, I have had the most horrid experiences since.
4 of my 5 bridesmaids ordered their dresses late May. I had also ordered a sash to match and had requested emails when each item came in. I received nothing from David’s Bridal. My bridesmaids were all contacted when their dresses arrived but I had heard nothing. Low and behold my sash had arrived with three of the dresses and was given to one of my bridesmaids. When I called to find out why I wasn’t contacted that my items were arriving they were told that I had been contacted by cooperate. Well, I wasn’t. No phone call, no email. Then they told me I must’ve spammed them in my email. I hadn’t done that either because I keep record of my orders. I asked why my sash was given to a bridesmaid instead of myself and they said that it is their policy to give every item to the first person who comes in to pick up their stuff. Well none of the other dresses that had arrived were given to my bridesmaid so how does that «policy» make any sense? All I hear from them are excuses and no apologies for their wrong doings or poor customer service.
But the cake topper is what happened today. My final bridesmaid called to order her dress and was told that she could no longer order this dress (which is a brand new dress to their fall collection). She was told WORD FOR WORD «we have been contacting the bride letting her know time was running out to order the dresses». I called in, was on hold for 15 minutes and when I asked to speak to a manager I was put on hold for another 5. When someone picked up I started to explain that my cousin was trying to order her dress and was interrupted with «I was helping her and it’s all taken care of ok?». No, not okay, actually. I told her that I was bothered that she was told that I’d been contacted when in fact I hadn’t been because if that had been the case, the dress would’ve been ordered already. She then said that she’d been the one speaking with my cousin and she wasn’t told that, my cousin must’ve lied. Also, the person that had picked up the phone wasn’t even a manager like I had requested. When I’d asked for her name she gave me some name I couldn’t hardly understand.
I’m beyond furious with this company. Planning my wedding has been a wonderful experience and has been relatively stress free. Except for dealing with David’s Bridal. I’m so upset with their accusations that they’ve been contacting me and in not so many words calling me a liar. I wouldn’t ever recommend anyone go to them unless they like being treated with the poorest customer service. They don’t do anything to make it right after treating their brides so wrong. I’m supposed to have my dress altered there in August but I’m starting to think that I won’t be going there have that done.

Delaney was sooooooo amazing not only did she pick out the perfect dress for me she was so helpful and nice. I can’t imagine having experienced such a perfect moment than with her help and customer service. I felt like Cinderella in the dress she picked out for me. Oh and you can trust you will cry when she has you ring the bell when you say yes to the dress. Thank you Delaney!!!

After having been in both the WA Square (west side) and Clackamas (SE side) David’s Bridals, the SE location is much cleaner, better organized, and has the most competent staff. I went into both locations in the evening without an appt to trying on bridesmaid dresses (because I already knew the style numbers I needed to look into). The WA Square location desperately needed a deep cleaning, some paint touch ups and more training for their staff — the associates I was working with were bringing me wrong sizes, and trying to upsell me shoes after I stated multiple times that they need to be able to be dyed to match (which I was told is something DB did). The Clackamas location associate was reserved but helpful, and basically set me up with my room and let me do my own thing.
I then called back to the Clackamas store to order my dress a few weeks later and Jennifer at that location was patient and extremely helpful in securing my dress that the online discount with free shipping to the shop.
For anyone looking to order their dress in Portland, I highly suggest calling the Clackamas store and ordering through them and having the item delivered to the store. They will take good care of you.

Their no return policy sucks ass, especially when you’re ordering a standard bridesmaid dress in a common size that you know they can resell to anyone else. My experience with David’s Bridal has been horrible-​every time I walk in, the sales people are ready to pounce on you and try to make a sale. If you want to buy a dress, try it on in store and buy it online— according to the salespeople here, online and the store are different entities and you can return it online but not in store.

This place is a zoo on weekends. This place is extremely crowded and there isn’t room for everyone to fit in front of the mirror to look at dresses. It took me over an hour to be paired up with a sales associate and we were allowed to pick out only 3 dresses to try out. If you want your wedding dress shopping to be a memorable experience (a good one), I would try a different store.

I went into David’s never thinking I would find a dress.
We had an appointment with Vanessa who was nothing but warm and welcoming. I didn’t have a vision on with my dress would look like. Vanessa was not phased at all she help me choose several different options to try on. The hour appointment went and she could tell we weren’t done looking. She had us look at more dresses and make A second appointment. On the 2 nd visit I found my dress and couldn’t have been happier!
vanessa is really good at knowing what the even when they don’t know what it is. I am very grateful for all her help.

I bought my wedding dress at David’s a few weeks ago, and the experience was great! Haley was my consultant, and she made sure everything went smoothly. She had me pick out a few dresses and then she picked a few based off what I described I was looking for. All of her picks were appropriate and in line with what I was looking for. The family I brought with me was just about ready to adopt Haley into the family. We went on a Friday afternoon to avoid the crowds of Saturday and Sunday, which I highly recommend.
My family returned to David’s the day after I bought my dress to find a mother of the bride dress. The person who checked them in found out that Haley had helped us the day previous, so made sure that she was able to help them again. My family came back raving again about how wonderful Haley made the experience.

I had a great experience on the two occasions I visited this location. Both times the minute I set foot in the store, I was cheerfully greeted and told the status of when a consultant will come help me. My consultant, Vanessa, was great to work with– really attentive focusing on me, super sweet and didn’t pressure me at all in the process. Through our conversations, she was able to figure out the style I liked before I even realized it and brought me out dresses to confirm. She was able to pull out veils, belts, hairpieces to give me an idea of a completed look.
I only focused on the designer dresses here, they are pricier but you can tell the style and design makes them premium. They feature designers like Vera Wang, Oleg Cassini, Zac Posen, etc. and have made lines specifically for David’s and those prices are on par with the other bridal boutiques that feature the less pricy line of Allure, Maggie Sottero, Casablanca, etc.
Everyone in the store was really nice when I was browsing and trying on dresses. I’ve visited all the other top stores in Oregon– Charlotte’s, Bridal Exclusives, English Dept, Rose’s Bridal, Brides for a Cause, Bridal Cottage, Richele Kay, etc. and my experience with the service here is on-​par with the others.
The drawback is that the viewing rooms aren’t really private and there isn’t a stage of mirrors to model your dress– it’s just the dressing room doors and walls have mirrors on the outside to view. The clientele is a bit rougher and a lot more price-​sensitive than you would find at the above-​mentioned stores. Regardless, just focus on finding the right dress within your price and don’t pay attention to where it was purchased.
