Reva Barewal, DDS, MS

I recently had a few fillings from Dr. Barewal — Normally I get very anxious and HATE needles, but she gave me the easiest numbing shot ever! She shows genuine interest in helping me and spends more than her fair share of time with me whenever I have an appointment.
My husband is also a patient of Dr. Barewal’s. When she talks to him about potential treatment she is straight to the point (doesn’t sugarcoat or dance around the subject) and informative but isn’t cold or rude.
My cleanings are always fun too! Megan is a great hygienist — she keeps me updated on what’s going on with my gums and my teeth always feel great after without being too sore.

Dr. Barewall was highly recommended by a friend who had seen her to stop his snoring. I learned that I needed to complete a sleep study to assess whether or not I also had apnea before seeing her. This took some time. So in the meantime, I found an over the counter device that stopped my snoring. Going into the appointment, my question was if it was worth it to pay about $ 3K more for a fitted device when I had found another solution for less.
Her assistant, Gina, was outstanding. Besides being personable, she was very knowledgeable and passionate about snoring solutions. I asked her many questions since I didn’t know how much time I’d get with Dr. Barewall. I felt that she wasn’t pushy about their products, which would have turned me off. So I was already feeling more informed and positive before I met with the doctor. She knew a lot and shared with me what she felt confident about and encouraged me to ask Dr. Barewall some questions directly.
Dr. Barewall spent a lot of time with me. It’s clear she is very intelligent and articulate. She looked me in the eye when we were talking and I felt she was giving me her full attention and caring about my questions. I walked away feeling confident that since the other device had worked for me, a fitted one would be successful, and worth the investment to have a much lower profile device, and one that allows for talking, drinking, and for lips to be closed when wearing. After all, I will be wearing it for many hours of my life!
So, I was very impressed with the initial meeting. Stay tuned to see if the device works as expected. I think that it will.

My smile looks great! I saw Dr B for 2 implants and crowns. Her exam was the most detailed and thorough exam I have ever received. My crowns look just like my natural teeth, you can’t see a difference. Her office is state of art and beautifully decorated. My husband is now a patient and thinks very highly of her. I would absolutely recommend her. She is an excellent dentist, and her assistants were very friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks to Dr B we both have smiles we can be proud of!

Dr. Barewal Does not have a good bed side manner. Extremely egotistical.
Granted, some might be weary of what I have had to do to my mouth. I am a middle class american. I don’t just have hundreds of thousands to drop on my teeth. I needed a full mouth restoration and was in the middle of the process with a dentist who was doing the work in Costa Rica for a quarter of the price the dentist in America wanted. I know my teeth were not in good shape. But, there is not a lot that I can do without funds.
I went into to her office to have my temporary bridge re-​cemented. Yes, the bridge was not working like it should due to one of the teeth holding it in had broken (but again, what can I do without funds)? She proceeded to lecture me for the whole appt. on how temporaries are temporaries (which I’m not a moron, I was just looking for a temp fix). She continued to put down the work I had done in Costa Rica (which there was nothing wrong with the work) It was simply me who had prolonged the situation due to money. She hounded me so much during the appt. I started bawling. I have been through a lot in my life with my teeth and have never been treated with such hostility.
Would never recommend her to anyone. And from her response you can see her ego talking. I’ve been to MULTIPLE specialist in my lifetime and never was I treated with such hostility. I didn’t take offense you were just completely unprofessional and lacking basic compassion. The only reason you had to stay late was because you took so much time hounding me over something out of my control. I might have considered finishing with you if my experience was different. Unfortunately it was not.

I have been to many dentists in my life, good bad and indifferent. I’ve had root canals, filings and crowns. Finding an excellent dentist who can fill most of your dental needs was something I had given up on. After a particularly harrowing root canal where a «dentist» had really messed up my mouth I was sent to dr weesner for gum surgery. Dr Weesner and Dr Barewal share a practice. He fixed my gum, painful but well done, and she fixed my tooth. She so perfectly matched the color for the crown sometimes forget which tooth it is. In my line of work my smile is very important and thanks to Dr Barewal mine is better than ever! I now see her for all my dental needs. She’s really good at giving Novocain shots too.

I was very disappointed by Dr. Barewal’s quality of service. I paid her over $ 2000 for a device to help me sleep better and when it did not work well she implied that it was my fault. I would not recommend her to anyone.
