Being at Clackamas Town Center at dinnertime meant checking out the mall’s food court for something to eat. Ruby Thai Kitchen had some pretty good looking stuff on their steam table so I decided to get their standard plate of two entrees with one side dish for $ 7.75. I picked Lemongrass Grilled Chicken and Thai Pepper Chicken for my entrees. The sides available were fried rice, pad Thai noodles, and some kind of skinny noodles. Ordinarily, I would have chosen the pad Thai, but it seemed like it had been sitting around for awhile so probably would have been clumpy and stuck together. Clumpy, stuck together pad Thai just really, really annoys me, so I picked the skinny noodles instead. The Lemongrass Chicken wasn’t very lemongrassy tasting at all, and Pepper Chicken wasn’t very peppery tasting either, although I could see lots of grains of black pepper in it. Also, the side of skinny noodles was pretty bland too, so at least the entire meal was consistent.. .consistently bland. Well, this was in a mall food court after all, so my expectations weren’t high to begin with.

The owner was EXTREMELY pleasant and helpful which helped the overall experience but we won’t return. The man working the«chow line» essentially refused to listen and we ended up with three item orders instead of the two item we asked for. The spicy chicken was painfully spicy. I can take some heat but this was to the point where I was gagging, tearing up and couldn’t breathe. I took it back and the owner replaced it immediately along with the veggies. The veggies looked great but were swimming in MSG(my wife is from Asia and could tell right away). We threw most of the food away with the exception of the lemon grass chicken which was tasty.

I was on foot, but craving Thai food. After a long walk, I discovered Ruby Thai Kitchen was in the mall. I decided to give it a try; very disappointing! Definitely mall food; greasy and the veggies were way over cooked.

For food court fare a tad above average. Prices are reasonable. Recommend lemongrass chicken, however recently a little more saucy and greasy then it used to be. Shrimp spring rolls are fresh but lack flavor due to not enough basil or mint more iceberg lettuce then normal however they are generous on the shrimp. Pad Thai don’t recommend bland greasy and lackluster. However there are some healthier options then Pandas Express.

It has OK food. The lemongrass chicken is delish, but I don’t really like the pad Thai. & the salad rolls I got were not that great but if you want some cheap Thai food, this is not bad

If I could put 0 stars I would, I work in this mall. Today I wasn’t feeling good, I felt nauseous and just needed some soup to calm my stomach. I go there and the guy working there, short hair, middle aged, and average build. I approach him, say hi, am polite,(I work in retail so I always am) and ask him if they sell soup and if I could try it, he told me no(even though they do samples around normal lunch time). Said that I had to place an order before trying anything. I told him I wasn’t feeling well and he was very rude. I will never eat there and I will tell everyone at the mall about my experience.

Please save yourself the stomach pain and go to any other place surrounding it. Their noodles are so greasy it brings curiosity to my mind as to why the US government hasn’t invaded their kitchen in search of oil. I am not fully convinced that what I had eaten from here was actually chicken, but by the end of my half eaten meal I would have payed the overpriced $ 7 just not to eat their food. I felt completely pressured into buying this junk I wouldn’t let my pig eat. In conclusion, I would like to say that I would not put my bets on even Gordon Ramsay himself coming from the clouds in shinning armour to make me eat here again…

The food was by far the worst thai we have had. Pass and good for something on 82nd. You will be happy. The thai tea is not good either.

I was so happy to find gluten-free options here! The items that were safe for me to eat were clearly marked and the staff was very accommodating, giving free samples before you choose your entrees. I went with the lemongrass chicken, broccoli chicken and pad thai noodles. Everything was fresh and very tasty. The lemongrass and peanut sauces are made in house and also gluten free. I will look forward to eating here everytime I visit the Clackamas Town Center from now on.

Everything had no flavor except for the BBQ chicken. That was the only good thing on the menu. I couldn’t believe how tasteless the dishes were. I doubt I’ll be returning.

Great food and I like the bubble tea’s. New owners since last year and they are now gluten free and have vegitarian. The chicken is EXCELLENT — fresh and moist. Really good soups and the salad rolls are great — better than fast food. This place is So much better than Panda Express.

Great food at the Clackamas Mall Food Court. The servers are always nice and I enjoy the food as well. I like that they offer veggies instead of rice or noodles as your base. My favorites are the Bangkok beef and the curried chicken. The curry broth is so good I drink it!

Yummy Thai food! Sometimes I find one or two good restaurants at food courts in shopping malls. This is one of those places. The quality of the foods were great. I like their sweet curry, not too hot and spicy, just full of flavor. Great food and service at great prices.

3.5 stars. A fast and welcoming food service. This Thai-American style food joint delivered on a fulfilling, quick dinner for two with their generous helping of Pad Thai noodles. The chicken was a bit salty though so we had to get additional water for more hydration after the meal.

Fast, cheap, and tasty Thai food is what they do best at Ruby Thai. Having eaten at many of the food options in the Clackamas Town Center, Ruby Thai is by far the best option on many levels. Try the Coconut Shrimp and Mango Chicken with the Curry Noodles – you won’t go wrong. The Thai Tea is an especially tasty(and different drink. Besides the Thai food provided in the hot case, there are numerous noodle dishes, soups, and entrees that can be cooked to order, providing additional options. The staff is friendly and helpful when choosing often unfamiliar entrees. Ruby Thai is a fast and authentic Thai experience that was very enjoyable – will definitely be coming back!
