My iMac purchase went smoothly and professionally. The staff person who helped me was a wholesome young man; honest enough to help me consider whether I really needed that extra terabyte of drive space. It’s worth saying that when I entered I was ready to buy: I had already thoroughly researched the iMac options – both online and by interviewing various Mac staff at various stores, including this one. I’d advise anyone planning to buy a computer to do likewise. (Key question: How important to you is RAM upgradability?) Store staffs may be helpful and well-​informed, as was my experience at Simply Mac, but they are still there to sell products. (I guess I kind of forgot that when I fell for that Windows 8 laptop at another store.) In the end I purchased at Simply Mac because I wanted a relationship with a local authorized Mac seller, especially with their able on-​site tech support. So far, so good!

Before I crossed the threshold I was warmly greeted and assisted. The tech immediately found malware and all kinds of problems, also installed the latest OS. He was incredibly helpful and gregarious, even offered solutions for future maintenance. The Best!

Angel is wonderful… fixed my problem quickly and I didn’t feel stupid… yay, Angel… so appropriately named, for sure!

The team as this store is amazing! I have purchased (and sold) several macs here. Every experience has been a positive one. Sure they get busy, and you may have to take a number, or sign in to the iPad set-​up for Help Desk assistance, but that is because Apple product are more popular than ever — and this team is dealing with it in stride! So what if two folks are in line ahead of you — chill out, look around, or surf the net on one of the Macs. The team will get around to you — and in my experience the team has been courteous and professional — providing product information when asked and finding out the answers to the questions I asked that they did not have answers for. I have been lead to believe that the team at the Clackamas location really dig what they do. If you have a Mac or iOS device, you too, dig what you do.
No, this is an an Apple Store, it is an authorized seller of Apple products — and that has some clear benefits as well — the lack of shoulder to shoulder crowds and folks that can’t speak to what the product are. These folks are seasoned Mac veterans and aren’t always pushing to make a sale. If you like what you see or have a question, they are around to help. If you decide to buy, that is cool too. I have never felt pressure to buy anything there. What better place to connect with folks that «get it» and will work to make your experience and selection positive! Visit them — you’ll be glad you did!

When I attempted to eat up an iCloud family, the results were not as planned. I took our Apple devices to The Mac Store and Dylan fixed my problems. When we got home we found that my wife’s contact list on her iPhone had vanished. We contacted the store and came back with the Apple devices and discussed the problem with Dylon. We agreed that the family setup I requested was the cause of the contact loss. Dylon reset the family listing parameters and everything worked as advertized. Dylon was great to work with.
The Sales and Service staff was friendly and cheerful. Our visit to The Mac Store was great.

This review is on Dylan the Service Manager at The Mac Store. He was absolutely great! I went to see them because I got a virus when I tried to update my adobe flash player (about 30 times without it working before I gave up). The virus was causing me to recieve an annoyingly large amount of pop ups whenever I tried to do anything on the internet. I was getting hit with so many it actually caused my laptop to freeze and I had to hard shut down everything before I even was able to google anything. I took it in and met Dylan. He was super friendly and outgoing and very knowledgeable about the services they offer. He was able to take care of the virus by doing a Mac «tune up» and he even helped me download adobe flasher player all for free! Im so thankful for him. He was fast and talked me through everything he was doing so I was aware of what he was changing. Thank you so much Dylan and I will for sure be coming back to see you any time I have an issue with my laptop in the future!

I came to the Mac Store because I prefer going to a smaller (although I wouldn’t necessarily call them this) business rather than the Apple store. The customer service when my mom went years ago was excellent. This time, however was nothing special. I was greeted while playing with a laptop, however so at least there’s that.
First off — The Mac Store does not have the same prices as Apple. Now, I understand they’re the middle man, so they need to make their income somehow, but it seems wrong not to honor prices. I went in to get a MacBook Pro with my student discount, (which showed through Apple) the laptop at $ 1000, and the AppleCare protection plan at $ 184. They still charged $ 100 extra because the manager wouldn’t prove an under-​cost sale. If you don’t have the same prices as the Apple store, do not tell me you have the same exact discounts as the Apple store. They did honor the price when my mom purchased a laptop a while back, so I assumed they’d do the same.
I thought I was losing my mind, but the person with me confirmed I was not, when the sales associate said that if I bought extra ram, he could give me the price of the $ 1000 dollar laptop that Apple offered. He said that if they upgraded my ram, it would wash out the excess $ 100 dollar charge and would put me at my original budget. I asked him a couple of times to confirm this, as well as my guest and he said yes, it would be the $ 1000 + $ 184 for the protection plan.
So…he tallies up the total to $ 1474. Huh? No… you said… what? I declined the upgrade and just paid the extra $ 99 because I absolutely needed a laptop like days before and couldn’t wait any longer. I think he was concerned with me wanting the bottom line price when really I didn’t care.
All & all, I didn’t care much for my experience. The associate wasn’t friendly, seemed lost. The return policy wasn’t explained, they didn’t ask if I needed anything else (granted I didn’t need much, but it’s all part of the service!) They brought out my stuff and sent me off. Hmph.

We went to the store with a problem restoring my data after upgrading my iPhone. Daniel at the back counter took a look, did some quick research and in 5 minutes had it all restored with all of my data transferred. Could not have been easier or more helpful. I’ll take my Mac book pro there anytime. The whole staff was helpful and friendly.

I was very pleased with the service I received today. Daniel helped me through a connectivity issue I was having with my iPad. He didn’t condescend or try to upsell aggressively. I got exactly what I needed. I hope the management knows what a jewel Daniel is.

We have frequented the Mac store for both purchases and for help. We have been most satisfied with both. The sales staff are professional and efficient and the «tech» folks are excellent; knowledgeable and proficient. No complaints from us, just accolades!

Once again the people of the Clackamas store out did them selves they went out of there way to fix my computer. and it did do not take three days to do it like some other computer repair shops I wish I could name them but I can not. I have always had a great experience coming in this store they always great me with a smile and they seem to remember who I am even if I have not been there for a while. I feel very welcome it shows that they care. so if you need a new computer or need a repair I think you should at lease give them a try and you will find out that you will have a great experience in visiting the place. I just want to say thanks to service tech martin Jasen he went made a great effort to make my computer back on tack in a few hours so thank you so much. I have always been treated well and they remember me I just want to say the staff is great and I hope a great christmas and a great new year. God bless you all.

I am a new to the Appleverse and the associate named Sadie that helped was very nice and helpful. She was able to answer all of my questions and then was able to get me set up at Help desk to finish setting up my IPad. The guys at the help desk spent almost two hours explaining and setting everything up for me and it was only $ 50. Well worth it! I would have been lost…

The Friday before we’re supposed to leave on a trip, and my iPad falls from the docking station and the glass is cracked. Did I mention also that it’s December 22^nd? After searching online, I call the number listed for the Clackamas Mac Store, and the guy on the phone, who I think is from the actual store says sure no problem they can fix it, and they have an appointment at 5:30pm. I find someone to watch my 2 kids, race across town in rush hour traffic to get there on time, run through the packed parking lot after parking on the wrong side (guy on phone who acted like he was from the store indicated they were on the other side of the mall), only to find out they don’t repair iPads at all. Do you know how hard it is to find someone to watch your kids, the Friday before Christmas? I made it CLEAR on the phone that I was trying to get it replaced that day, or at the latest by Monday. I broke down crying. Never lie and say «sure we can do that.» I will never shop at a Mac Store again… EVER. If you value honesty and think your time is worth something, then shop at a place that doesn’t jerk you around and waste it.
UPDATE: So, someone from The Mac Store reached out to me and offered a $ 50 gift certificate to make up for my bad experience. After originally not hearing back when I decided to take them up on it, a customer service rep? higher up? well, someone at the company got on top of it and sent me the card. I appreciated her efforts to make amends and will try to keep an open mind when I go in to use the card. I have to give kudos to the company, or at least this person in the company, for following through, and for caring enough to reach out. I’ve upped my rating to 2 stars for now, and if my next experience doesn’t result in tears, I’ll update again.

Walk around to look for a cover for my Ipad. They refurb models here. The guys here seem helpful but the selection of accessories was lacking. Not a bad place if you know what you are looking for.

Went to the mac store to revive my iphone that seized up after an attempted update.
The guys there were fantastic! They were polite, efficient, and were able to fix my phone with out loosing any data. Much appreciated and nicely done!

Horrible customer service. aggressively asking to check my bag. No. I won’t shop somewhere that is suspicious of me as soon as I walk in.

Honestly, what the F is a Mac Store? I didnt know this place even existed (much less assert its legitimacy), but came here because I had to go to the mall and my dad said it was here.
That said, I will never come here again, and will instead trek over to bridgeport to go to the actual apple store. Again, wtf is a Mac Store? Like, overpriced, rebranded goods sold as Apple approved goods?
Anyways, when I walked in, i looked at some awkward guys… and after a few seconds of silence, told them I was looking for an hdmi to thunderbolt dongle. The guy knows where the display cables are, so he takes me there, but then fumbles around for a minute or two while trying to figure it out.
He pulls out an HDMI to mini display port cord (not dongle). I ask about thunderbolt, and he consults some neckbeard behind the counter, who proceeds to tell me in a holier than thou tone that thunderbolt is data only, and mini display port works on new macbook pro models as well.
Meh, excuse me for not spending all of my time fanboying up apple news articles and jacking off to MacWorld conference videos. Anyways, after receiving my comeuppance, i check out and gtfo out of there. An altogether awkward experience overall.
Later, i check my cable out on amazon and find it for ¹⁄₃ the price. Even with shipping, which was cheap, it would be 50% of the price I found at the Mac Store… and there is no sales tax in Oregon.
Oh i almost forgot. I was gonna order the part from amazon and just return the one i bought from the Mac Store when i went home for Christmas. Unfortunately (or rather, luckily), i checked the receipt and found out that they have a 14 day return policy… awesome. Hows that for standing behind ur products?

I’ve frequented this store many times over the past couple years. I’ve always been greeted at the door and asked if I need any help to find something. The sales staff have always been friendly to me, I’m not sure what others reviewers are complaining about. I had my MacBook keyboard replaced by these guys and it was done professionally and on time. The keyboard was even covered under warranty from Apple for free.
The parking situation is a mess but par for the course at the mall. Usually you have to walk one to one and a half city blocks, which shouldn’t be a problem unless you have a broken leg or are disabled.
Prices are fair and staff are friendly. Minus one for location, I hate the mall!
Update: 2014.06.22 — The business is actually located outside the mall entrance on the South side. You don’t have to go into the mall if you don’t need to. That almost earns the fifth star back, almost.

I have been in here a couple of times and have had no problems. The first time my hard drive crashed on my mac mini and they did try to fix it right at the back counter, in front of us, showing what was going on. Then we opted to have them send it to the techs for $ 45 and they offered to change the hard drive for us for $ 150 more. We declined and did it ourselves with a better drive.
The most recent visit, I traded my ipod touch in for a newer one. The guy in the back was nice enough and I didn’t bring the headphones, so I wasn’t going to get the full trade in value, I mentioned that I could do a trade in online with Best Buy and they were going to give me more, so they met their price. The whole transaction took less than ten minutes.
When I’ve been in here, there have always been people in there, the other reviews are from a few years ago, and Clackamas town center is bouncing back a little since the remodel. The parking out there, is what it is. I hate the mall to start with, so of course I can jump on that bandwagon of crappy parking situation.
If you need to go in there, just set a time online so you know you have a spot. When we were getting our hard drive looked at, people were walking in and there were no more time slots open.

This place is TERRIBLE! If you like geeky guys who think that they are soooooo ****ing cool then you should definitely check out this place! The sales guys are nice but the tech shop guy in the back is the biggest douche I have ever met. Please allow me to tattoo douchebag on his forehead for easy identification.
I love being talked to like an idiot. He was very condescending! It wasn’t a tech problem I had with my macbook, it was a cosmetic problem. Jump off your high horse and get fired!
One advantage of going to this place is that you will be helped immediately! No one except employees are in there.
Advice — Save the headache of speaking to a moron and go to the Apple Store.
