Very cool place. So many great selections of flavors and add ins. They have many NOSUGARADDED options. Perfect for me being a Diabetic. Finally a place I can go to. Very fast and extremely friendly service. They make the ice cream right in front of you with nitrogen. It’s fun to watch! They have vegan and gluten free options as well. Stop by Subzero upstairs in the Clackamas Town Center mall.

Sub Zero is more than a mere gimmick. Their ice cream is great, though a tad pricier than at some places. You can decide a size and then you get your choice of one free topping. They let customers design the flavors, so you can mix to your heart’s content. The liquid nitrogen certainly makes the ice cream taste richer and creamier. I walked up to Sub Zero after having done an exhaustive search for liquid nitrogen places in the Portland area. They explained everything, having asked off the look on my face if I’ve been before and I haven’t. A person at the counter gently mixed the peanut butter, cheesecake and coffee flavor combination in liquid form. Then, right before my eyes, the nitrogen turned it into solid ice cream. I quickly paid for it right after the beautiful transformation. The ice cream was creamy and rich, though not exceptional, but definitely great. It was $ 4.35, a fairly reasonable price. Check out Sub Zero the next time you go to Clackamas Town Center.

Making ice cream right in front of you using liquid nitrogen is such a great idea! I get ice cream here every time I come to the Clackamas Town Center. I definitely recommend this experience for anyone who hasn’t seen people make ice cream from nitrogen! It’s such a blast to see for the first time! Today I got coconut ice cream with banana and mango flavor and fresh strawberries. So delicious. Though, sometimes the coconut milk is a little grainy, but it’s also super creamy and oh so good that a little grain is all right. Basically, I love that you can create vegan ice cream, and they can help you with the vegan friendly toppings and everything.

I have to say, I had good ice cream in the past but it’s nothing compare to these guys. I like the fact that they make delicious, fresh ice creams in front of you. So next time you visit the Clackamas Town Center, just stop by and see how it’s made. I’m sure you’ll like it. It’s on the 2nd floor past the food court

The SubZero N2 IceCreams are awesome, they are freshly made right in front of your eyes. Instant Freezing using Nitrogen gas. 40 plus flavors to choose from n can add real fruits of your choice, plus the toppings. Nice people at the store, friendly n helpful in choosing your flavor. I had Pina Caloda with Pineapple n loved the taste. The steamers are good too perfect for the winters.

It had a variety of stuff on the menu but not a lot to choose from. The customer service was very good, friendly people working well. The ice cream just tasted like any other regular ice cream you can buy at the grocery store, but it was cool how they make ice cream right in front of you. They basically make a mixture of your choice and then freeze it with nitrogen and VIOLA~ there’s ice cream for ya. It’s basically like Baskin Robbin but less flavors to choose from and the ice cream is made right then and there. Although a downside was the ice cream melted faster than regular ice cream.
