U-Haul Moving & Storage at Clackamas Town Center

I had purchased a custom tow hitch, a Curt CURT Receiver Hitch and the companion wiring harness for my 2012 Nissan Quest mini-​van. I had planned to install it myself, but could not break loose the bolts under the car, so I decided to seek a professional to do the installation. I checked several installers, and finally picked this provider, because they had good reviews online, and they had the most reasonable pricing approach: $ 75/​hr. The other bids I got were around $ 200-​$ 250. When I talked to U-​Haul, they told me that this kind of install usually took less than 2 hours. They patiently walked me through their process, which jibed closely with what I expected.
On the day of installation, I waited while they installed, which took 1.5hrs. I had forgotten to bring in the bolts needed to fasten the receiver hitch to the car, but the installer had the needed bolts, and did not charge me for the parts. The price was $ 75 * 1.5hrs = $ 112.50, exactly as we had agreed.
They did an excellent job (I also inspected the wiring, and it was professionally done). The trailer hitch and the taillights work as they should. I would highly recommend these guys if you need trailer hitch work done.

I had to rent a truck to have a few items moved a while back and, lo and behold, right on SE 82^nd and across from Clackamas Town Center is this U-​Haul location. I’ve used U-​Haul in the past, but every time I approached this one dismal location in California, I thought I was going to be mowed down by tumbleweeds and generally felt like I wanted to get out of that store as soon as possible. That wasn’t the case here.
Stars:
1. great location, right across the street from Clackamas Town Center … there’s even a crosswalk!
2. low-​key service without the pressure for up selling I’ve seen at other locations
3. variety of equipment and services — many sizes of trucks, trailers, storage, moving supplies, and, for those just using a truck for a matter of hours, they have a few designated parking spots for such customers. Note that they have the popular 14 foot truck with the «attic,» which extends over the top of the cab, whereas Budget’s truck options jump from 10 foot truck to 16 foot truck.
4. excellent prices, such as $ 19.95 a day trucks. Note, however, that there is a mileage charge, as there is with all rented trucks
Because of all these favorable attributes, this U-​Haul location is a logical and recommended business concern for short-​term moving equipment and services.

Pretty standard as far as U-​Haul goes in terms of service and wait time. Added an extra star for the awesome guy who marked the tank at a quarter even though we had slightly more gas in it when we rented the truck. You saved us a whole $ 8, which we promptly used to buy beer for the new house!

I come to this location for all my hitch needs. I have brought several of my vehicles in to have an entire hitch assembly installed and wired. I am super impressed with the quality of work and ease of getting exactly what I need.
I can’t think of going anywhere else.

Seth needed propane to start another batch of home brew. AmeriGas at Albertsons was unavailable & the fuel attendants at the nearby gas station weren’t trained to refill tanks.
Few driven miles later we stumbled upon a huge propane sign at U-​Haul. They were still open (until 7pm) & willing to refill for us. Price was slightly higher than the gas station & a lot higher than AmeriGas but at least U-​Haul was available at the time.
Thanks U-​Haul for saving Seth’s day so he could home brew. Your beer should be ready any day now. I hope you like IPA’s.
