The manager Jill s very nice but the place is actually very dirty. The beds, walls, floors, radios bathroom, etc is filthy. They even have cords hanging out the wall in one of the rooms. This place could be really nice if it had a deep cleaning and it was kept up properly. DIRTY!!!

I’ve been tanning here off and on for years, they always have specials going on and the new staff is super nice. There is never any wait and if there is they accommodate as best as possible. Every month at the member appreciation events elmwood restaurants donate food as well.

Probably the worst of all Planet Beach Salons in the greater New Orleans area. I tanned here about a year ago.
The girls are unfriendly and at times rude. The beds are DISGUSTING. Hair/​dust/​dirt clog the fans in the bed and the extra floor fans. The beds are old and worn.
Don’t pay $ 100/​month to lay in filth. The owner of this salon should be ashamed. She should take a vacuum and suck out the dust and hair in the fans. I mean, what else are we paying you for? The beds are so old, I’m sure they’re already paid off!
Go to Island Sun Tanning Salon on Jefferson Highway. Cheaper, cleaner and newer and there’s no contracts. The girls/​guy that work there are super sweet and friendly. The used to have a special where you would get a credit toward any of their lotions… i forgot the specifics, but call and ask them about it.

Not a big fan of this place. The manager is very pushy when it comes to sales. When I say «no thanks, not interested» I mean it. She pushes the issue constantly for sales. The actual place is very small and unkempt. Not very clean at all, the tops of the beds are streaky almost always so I no longer tan there because I feel that they don’t take much time to clean anything there… ever.
They used to have a few nice girls that worked there that are no longer there. There truly is no reason to give this store your business when there are cleaner, friendlier locations all around the neighborhood. Overall, not impressed. I have been to a lot a PB’s in the area and outside of the area and this is definitely on the bottom of my list.
