History

Established in 1999.

Our story began in Harker Heights, Texas 1999. Founders Doug and Angie Monckton and Connie Boose (Doug’s sister) left the homebuilding business and entered the rapidly changing world of lighting. Overwhelmed with exponential growth, a larger showroom was constructed in August 2002. In September 2005, sister and brother-​in-​law Pam and Kelly Kimbrel, joined the team and Texas Bright Ideas expanded with a second location in Georgetown, Texas. Again, explosive growth necessitated the moving to a much larger facility at Wolf Ranch in December 2010.

Today, Texas Bright Ideas works tirelessly to find the best products available for all your lighting needs-​including chandeliers, kitchen and bath lighting, lamps, ceiling fans and outdoor lighting. As a member of Lighting One, we are able to offer many exclusive products at prices to fit every budget. Texas Bright Ideas utilizes its large showrooms to display thousands of products in easy to visualize vignettes.
