Painted Sky Studios is owned and operated by platinum award winning veteran Los Angeles recording engineer, Steve Crimmel. After several years as senior staff engineer at world renowned Ocean Way Recording in Hollywood, Steve shocked his associates and high profile clients when he announced he was moving away from the undisputed center of the recording industry. Harmony, just 3 ½ hours North of Los Angeles /​South of San Francisco, is located on California’s exquisite and unspoiled Central Coast near Cambria on the South End of Big Sur in San Luis Obispo County.

Steve brought with him a vast knowledge of experience in literally every facet of music and audio production.
