Meet the Business Owner

Ann S.

Business Owner

I’m a former biology teacher and scientific researcher who left the industry to help people feed their pets correctly. My shepherd, Gabriel, and my sweet orange cat, the late Mr. Beasley, taught me about appropriate dog and cat nutrition in 2012. Gabriel was suffering from blistery lesions all over his body, chronic ear infections, and swollen feet. After 3 trips to the vet to get antibiotics and steroids, I knew something had to change. Although the vet never ever mentioned it, I figured it must be the food. I thought I was feeding a good food — it was expensive, had a fancy name, and a pretty bag. No one at the big pet food stores could help me identify what the problem could be, so I started doing my own research. What I found out about pet food ingredients, the quality of the food we feed our fur children, was shocking. So, I decided to start a store where I ONLY carry brands I have researched and trust. Now, I can help others make informed decisions to keep their pet healthy.
