Dentistry for Infants, Children & Teens

Our doctors are all specialists in children’s dentistry.

Our pediatric dental office believes in treating our patients like they were our own children. We strive to make each dental visit a pleasant experience and to help the children feel comfortable in our office during their dental treatment.

We begin seeing our patients at the age of 1 and will continue to see them through adolescence. We also welcome children with special needs.

History

Established in 1974.

Dr. James Kearns started the practice in 1974 and in December of 2011 he retired from practicing dentistry.

Dr. Dwight Ashby joined the practice in 1986. Dr. Ashby graduated from Indiana School of Dentistry in 1984 and then went on to serve his residency in pediatric dentistry at the Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati.

In 1992, Dr. Nancy Rajchel joined our practice. She graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1987 and then went on to complete her pediatric dentistry residency in 1992.

In 2000, Dr. Kearns youngest son, Dr. Jeffrey Kearns, started practicing in our office. He graduated from University of Maryland’s Dental School in 1998 and then went on to complete his residency in pediatric dentistry at the Medical College of Virginia in 2000.
