Very friendly with great food! Large portion sizes. Pork burrito was out of this world and chicken burrito was excellent also. I am not a big fan of cornbread but theirs was so good I ate the entire thing! Highly recommend this restaurant. Family friendly and customer service was top notch!

This place is ok. It’s a lot like a Chipotle in that u walk up and order down the line. The food is decent. If I lived closer I would probably stop by now and then but it’s not something to go out of my way for. When I’m looking posing for tacos I hit El Sol Express, Taco King or even Tres Hermanos.

AWESOME food. Veronica has a great business here. It’s clean the food is delicious friendly service nice setting and it blows Chipotle away. This is our new favorite place to eat good healthy food. We come here at least once or twice a week. Highly recommended.

fix your website with the correct hours. there was a large group of us that came yesterday to find a sign saying closed on sundays but your website still shows you being open so we all went to a competitor. Most small business fail, especially in the restaurant business. you are already paying the rent, may as well be open on sundays when a lot of people go out to eat, make as much $$ as you can, especially while you get established. Why turn away business. I want to see you succeed. That all said, you have good food and can give chipolte a run for the money but you were closed so we all went to Chipolte(against my judgement but I was overruled by the majority.)

Today was my first time eating here and I was not disappointed. My tacos were so big I only ate two and was beyond stuffed. Everything was fresh, and delicious. I am picky when it comes to Mexican food and would happily eat here all the time! Staff was so nice, everything was clean and I had no complaints. Delicious! I am a die hard chipotle fan but will for sure be coming here often!

This is a great independent Mexican joint that fills you up and leaves you happy. The menu consists of quintessential favorites(tacos, burritos, nachos, bowls, quesadillas) and a seemingly endless variety of ingredients with which to customize your creation. The homemade guacamole and hot salsa are hands-down the best I have had in the area. Friendly people, good food, what’s not to like?

Overview: New burrito place on Linglestown Road serving burritos, bowls, salads, and homemade mac and cheese. Food: I ordered a chicken bowl with rice, beans, peppers and onions, chicken, salsa, corn salsa, cheese, and lettuce. I really liked the flavor of the chicken. It was really good without being overly spiced and was not overcooked. They gave you a great amount of everything and I really enjoyed the salsa. Next time, I will definitely be getting the guacamole to try. My boyfriend ordered the chicken tacos, which were huge. They really stuff them full. He really enjoyed them as well. I know some people find this bland, but I think that’s because they’re used to Chipotle. While this place is obviously set up like a Chipotle, it is not. There is definitely significantly less salt used, which I actually prefer. The one difference I think that’s most noticeable between the two is that Chipotle gets a really good char on their meats and veggies, which MX Cocina does not. That doesn’t make it bad, it just makes it a different style of cooking. I enjoy both. Recommend: The Burrito Bowls, but honestly everything looked great. Atmosphere: The place has a great interior. It’s spacious and airy, with plenty of seating. Everything was very neat. Service: Great service! We were served promptly and everyone was extremely friendly!

I decided to give MX Cocina a try because I usually avoid chain restaurants and although I like the concept of Chipotle I’ve never been really impressed there. I ordered a burrito bowl with chicken. The portion was good, the vegetables were fresh and the chicken was well seasoned. The atmosphere is also much better than Chipotle(unless you prefer loud and industrial looking). When taking lunch on a hectic work day I definitely preferred the quieter, more relaxed MX Cocina. It was slightly more expensive but worth it. I will be going back to MX Cocina soon.

This is my 4th time eating here and I feel like writing a review to do them some justice. First off, MX Cocina is just basically another Chipotle. They copy their style of ordering and picking your own ingredients to build your prefered taco, burrito, ect… That being said, where they differ is in the quality and taste. I admit that the first time I ate here, the first week they opened, I was dissapointed. The food was bland and the employees seemed a little lost. I cant really blame them since it was their opening week. However, i guess not alot of people was kind like me and left them bad reviews. Since then, they have really stepped up their game. The food they make is alot tastier and fresher. You can taste each ingredient and the meats are seasoned fergectly. Also, and the service is very nice and kind. Everytime I come back they improved minor things that make their food even tastier. I dont know why people say that they are much more expensive, they are really not. The difference in price is minimal, and even so, the difference is worth it in the quality and freshness of the ingredient. I prefer this over Chipotle and Qudoba anyday and would recommend anyone to give them a second chance.

MX Cocina is very similar to Chipotle — but saves us the drive out to busy/hectic Jonestown Road. The food is pretty good, service is fast and the staff are very friendly. If you sign up for their email list, they send out coupons every so often.

Staff was personable and friendly. Food was fresh and had an authentic Mexican profile, but it was very expensive. Ordering style is extremely similar to chipotle. Would go back, but not often. Chipotle has more reasonable prices for frequent dining.

Really disappointing. This is a knock off of Chipolte except higher prices and lower quality ingredients.

Great food! I love all the options. I’ve gone twice so far and haven’t been disappointed yet. The first time I got the chicken burrito bowl because that’s what I get at Chipotle and it was delicious. Definitely preferable over Chipotle due to more options. I also got shrimp tacos and they were delicious!

Great place! Same concept as any of the Tex mex quick service restaurants. Typical burritos, tacos, nachos, salad, etc. Food was very good! Ingredients were fresh and I love made to order. Nice environment and the owner/employees certainly aim to please! Happy to have this optionon Linglestown Road!

Menu is confusing and the guys serving have no clue of what they are doing. We tried to follow the steps when ordering the nachos and just got the nachos, cheese and the meat, but no toppings. Expensive little basket of nachos. Another couple in the place while we were there asked if somebody was smoking inside the establishment because they noticed a strong cigarette smell. Probably will never go again.
