Finished Basements

Unfortunately their «recommended builder» was obviously never researched at all. Steve hired Keith Fitzgerald of Elete Construction to do our basement, assuring us how wonderful he was. Well he stole our money and stopped showing up after being asked to show us the permits he was supposed to have pulled. I checked with the city, he never pulled them, just pocketed the money. He broke our gas line, mis measured every single custom door, and did literally nothing to code. Initially Steve seemed concerned and brought in another builder for an ADDITIONAL 2 grand to repair the damage, which Steve said he would reimburse us. THIS builder also disappeared without a trace without finishing the job a few months in! Steve finally agreed to reimbursed us after we posted a negative review, but said the builders stealing our money was our own fault, he is covered by his contract and not liable for the builders HE HIRES! He said he would pay us back in installments but after 3 installments he stopped paying us, and has stopped responding to our emails. We are left with a badly damaged, and unfinished basement, and out thousands of dollars.
