Zizzi Hair Salon

They charge full price on advertised discounted day… Very unprofessional… Overall experience was ok but giving different prices to different customers is unacceptable…

Made the mistake of going here to get my makeup done. Absolutely horrible experience. She used cheap quality makeup and did a horrible job and made me look like a clown. To top it off I was charged a lot of money for it. Absolutely absurd. The girl obviously was not certified and had no business doing makeup. Please don’t waste your money here. They have no business advertising makeup services. I wiped it off as soon as I left and ended up doing my own makeup for the party I was going to and it turned out better. I will never waste another dime there.

This place is the best one that I have found for eyebrow threading, they don’t take too much off, as a lot of places do and work with your individual face to give you a natural, clean-​looking brow. I only get my eyebrows done here!

They have the best eyebrows designer in the area, it can take a while since almost everyone come here for it, but it is worth the wait.
I never got my hair done here, and I don’t think I ever would, I believe for a basic haircut must be okay, or basic hair color, like if you only do one color or you only want to trim the ends of your hair.
I don’t see their talking about education anywhere, like hair stylist do, plan their education here, there, to update they’re skills…
Anyways, for eyebrow is perfect!

Used to love it but then… Mimi gave me an unven haircut. The girl at the front desk, like another comment mention, is horrible. Bad customer service. Got my lip waxed once — got burned.

This is really an amazing salon in this location. I came for a haircut here. Mimi was the one who attended to me. I have to say she was awesome! She knew her job really well! I was dying for a new look. She exactly understood what I wanted. I looooooooovvveee my hair cut. I bet I’m going to he a regular here. I’m now thinking if getting the highlights done here after I saw my friends get it done here. I live that one too… this is so good!!! I love Mimi and this place! Thanks for your great services!

Used to love this place but they have forgot their good service roots (no pun intended) :(The girl that works the front desk now is just horrible at customer service. If all you do is deal with customers, shouldnt that be what your good at?! She sits at the seat by door on her cell phone and when you walk in, she shouts «How can I help you?» You turn around and realize the person sitting down is talking to you. I told her I was there for a blow dry and she SHOUTS across the salon at the stylist and and then points to me, gesturing for me to go somewhere. Then confusion around hair treatment and a the hair dryer, the manager making me feel bad that the stylist sent me to the dryer… Then their coupon discount doesnt work for the $ 27 blow dry since its already a special… No problem, but explain the rational to me in a way that ISNT condescending.
Maybe they dont always have bad service but this bad experience and all around poor communication from staff left me with such a bad taste that Im not planning on going back.

The lines are always quite long, but that definitely is a sign that their services are quality and popular.
I would have to say that while the manager is VERY nice and accommodating, dealing with his regular staff members is a bit of a headache. They are rough & dismissive, only focused on taking care of the next customer & the crowd as a whole, rather than focusing on the individual they have in their chair. Other than that, the prices are right and I always like the way they shape my brows.
I’m already quite happy with my hairstylist so I won’t be converting to Zizzi for those services, but they will happily remain my go-​to for eyebrows. PS — I highly recommend going to the Harrison Plaza location and not the one on Kearny Avenue — the results are much better from the Harrison location.

I absolutely love Zizzi’s! It is amazing! Karla is my hair stylist and colorist, she knows her stuff and is completely honest about your hair, what will look good or not, etc. she’s also really nice and funny. Most of the time she’s pretty booked so you need to call ahead for and appt. or you’ll be waiting for a while. Really, everyone in the salon is super friendly and helpful, they do great eyebrows, and all their services are very affordable.

Here for a project in Newark and needed a trim — Mimi at Zizzi’s gave me a fantastic hair cut for my thick wavy hair. She is a hair sculptress extraordinaire and a very sweet person.

I LOVE this salon! I always get my brows threaded here and they are always perfect. The price is also very good. I once got my hair blown out there too and I liked it very much. Both my mother and I come here at least twice a month. Its easy to get to since it’s near the path train and I can just stop by and get something done when I come home from work. The service is great and you never need appointment. If you live around here, you’d be doing yourself a disservice by not trying this place at least once
