I took my vintage fur coat to Chong’s to get the shoulder pads removed. It was a bit too puffy in the shoulder area. I was very nervous about taking it there, but was pleasantly surprised when I went in a day earlier to check up on the progress of my coat alteration and it was ready for pick up. It looks great! I am so happy with the results. I can’t wait to wear it in NYC. They did a great job!

I’ve gone to Chong’s for years and have had many things done: hemming, had pants, shirts and jackets taken in, and most recently had chair cushion covers made with zippers-they were very tailored and made perfectly. They are very skilled and knowledgeable and I’m confident they could do any job. You get what you pay for.

I had them replace a broken zipper on my coat a few years back and it was returned good as new and the stitching hasn’t fallen apart since. More recently, I had them tailor a couple of suits and they were perfect. Basic alterations are inexpensive, such as hemming pant legs or replacing broken zippers. It was a little more expensive to have both of my suit jackets tailored(sleeves pulled up, waist pulled back), but I think it’s fairly standard. For the price you’re paying to have your clothes tailored here, you’re going to get what you want, and you’re going to have it done by really nice people.

I used this lady to dry clean a formal gown. I was in no hurry to get it back, so I let her have it for 3 business days. Impeccable service, and pleasant personnel. I will continue to use this shop for dry cleaning and alterations.
