Fair Trade and affordable clothing, accessories, and tapestries. We specialize in unique, ethnic-​inspired clothing such as embroidered tunics, recycled patchwork skirts, and bamboo leggings. Products come from around the world and are produced by communities and coopts that provide their workers with a living wage and a dignified life. Fair Trade means that retailers and wholesalers create relationships with the artisans and make sure they are not only paid enough to support their families but work in safe and healthy areas. Many products are made with organic and sustainable products that are good for the environment and good for its people.

We started as a means of providing people with clothing that was fairly produced.

Meet the Business Owner

Eleanor H.

Business Owner

Eleanor spent several years in various communities throughout the USA and the UK where she developed a passion for social justice and inter-​cultural relationships. While in Stony Point, NY Eleanor worked in a Fair Trade gift store, and it was here she decided to combine her love of clothing with Fair Trade. Moving back to her hometown of Harrisonburg, VA, she developed her business idea and was able to open Green Hummingbird in the summer of 2014.
