Welcome to Tots ‘N Toyland! We are a home-​based preschool and day care center offering experienced child care for children ages one to five. Our in-​home daycare is operated by two fantastic women, who together have a combined fifteen years of experience caring for children. Callie is a graduate with a concentration in early childhood development and is caring, soft spoken and loves to read and exercise minds and bodies! Erica is a loving mother of three great children and volunteers her spare time as an EMT and Firefighter at the local fire department and rescue squad. Erica and Callie have extensive experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Epilepsy, and ADHD and are dedicated to shaping your child’s day into a fun and educational experience!

History

Established in 2014.

The preschool and day care center is located in Harrisonburg, VA right off of Interstate 81 and just blocks from JMU, James Madison University. We are in the subdivision known as Ashby Heights and although the house is in the city, it feels worlds away. It is nestled high up on the hillside and surrounded by beautiful trees and landscaping. The home is located on a dead-​end street and is well sheltered from any dangerous roadways. Due to our location, we can provide daycare for families in Harrisonburg, Dayton, Bridgewater, Penn Laird, Grottoes, Weyers Cave, Mount Crawford and Mcgayhesville, VA. These locations are within 15 minutes of our day care center and are easy access.

Hello Parents! I am a 32 year-​old vibrant, animated, compassionate and imaginative mother of 3 great children. I am a Nationally Certified EMT and Firefighter and I volunteer with our local fire department — Hose Company 4 here in Harrisonburg, VA. I spend the majority of my time caring for children and helping people in need in emergency situations. I absolutely love spending each day making a positive impact on peoples lives. I have fifteen years of experience caring for children of all ages and safety is always my number one priority! I will care for your children as I care for mine. I will let no detail go unchecked. Here at Tots ‘N Toyland I will be singing and dancing with your child, reading and learning too! You will not find a TV in our daycare as I am a much better character!
