The only positive part of this experience was the quick delivery. But after eating the food I wish the delivery guy never showed up. Sandwiches were terrible– barely any chicken in grinders and both ends of bread were stale. Fried mozz tasted like it was sitting over the fryer all day and reheated to serve, so greasy. Asked for a coke and received a Diet Coke and was still expected to pay for it. Delivery guy wasn’t planning on giving me my change back when I paid, didn’t even offer, just went back to his car to leave.

One of the two pizza spots I trust in the Hartford/West Hartford area. I haven´t had a grinder here yet, but the pizza is worth it.

The friends I am staying with in Hartford and I ordered the Buffalo chicken pizzaa from here fairly late on Halloween night. We got the garlic cheese bread as well. Excellent on both counts, and surprisingly not at all greasy. Highly recommended!

Pizza or grinders, whatever you get, it’ll be amazing. I’ve had the Italian, Pastrami, Buffalo Chicken, and Turkey grinders, and their Buffalo Chicken pizza, in addition to their Pepperoni pizza. Would recommend them all, especially the buffalo chicken.

I recommend this pizza place to anyone looking for amazing toppings. They have a chicken pesto pizza that will change your life! Their fries are good and the garlic bread is decent. Fast delivery. Good prices. Also the meat is halal!

If City Pizza were available at Ellis Island to all entering America at the beginning of the 20th century, I’m convinced we’d all have less strife and more to be happy about. I couch my experience this way because after driving several hours in the snow last month from Washington, DC, we stumbled into City Pizza, cold, tired and hungry. The pizza that was created was so wonderful as to bring tears to my eyes. Garlic, feta, basil, amazing crust and sauce. The other comments are astounding because we do not have this level of quality pizza anywhere in the DC area. Hartford-ites; be thankful for what you have and appreciate the quality and goodness you have in City Pizza!

I want to give no stars. City Pizza is the worst tasting pizza in town. I’ve lived in this neighborhood most of my life and every time I order from City Pizza I am seriously disappointed and mad that I spent my money there. Maybe writing this will make me remember to never order from there again. Flavorless, fake feeling food.

This pizza is gross. See the picture. That’s what they gave me when I ordered three pieces. The pizza was not fit for human consumption.

the best halal pizza ever! top choices: hawaiian, meat lovers(or just sausage and pepperoni if you want meat but not overload), buffalo chicken and chicken ranch.

One of the best late-night pizza restaurants around. Super fast, too. Also the eggplant is good here, not bitter so they must soak in salt water for a bit. I absolutely love eggplant parm so I notice this and have a list. Also, City Pizza has good desserts — nice surprise! The Cheesecake is fresh and is a lovely late-night treat.

Their pizza is a little pricey and greasy but delicious. I think the grease is because they use whole milk cheese, in fact I know from the empty cheese boxes lying around. Their sauce is wonderful, not overly sweet like those chain restaurants. That said, when they use it for their ziti and meatballs it could benefit from a bit more salt. The ziti pasta truly is enough for 2 people. It comes with what he called a «little salad»(it was enough for two) and lightly toasted bread. The meat is halal!

Horrible pizza in a horrible hole-in-the-wall. Dirty walls and dirty floors show this place takes no pride in the interior. Chairs and tables appear to be purchased from the thrift store. I ordered a buffalo chicken pizza. It had the smallest amount of chicken on any pizza I have ever had. The pizza had the flavor of the frozen food section of the grocery. With apologies to the grocery.

Best Pizza in the Hartford area! Seriously, my wife and I have lived in Hartford for five years and have tried almost every pizza place in Hartford and West Hartford. At the end of the day City Pizza is without a doubt THEBEST of them all. The décor inside is average, and you wont take a date there for a romantic night out, but if you want to know who has best pizza in Central CT this is the place. My work agrees and they always insist on ordering pizza from City pizza. And to top it off Omer is always kind and helpful and a joy to speak with when picking up our pie.

City pizza once or twice a week since they opened… yeah I like their pizza. City pizza isn’t some wanna be NY pizza or deep dish or fancy pants pizza… It’s just really good. They deliver very quickly, they are a good establishment. Get some!

Edible, but not great. Certainly better than Dominos, but if you want better quality food, call Sisson Ave Pizza House across the street. They use the best ingredients, deliver later at night and more quickly, and dont add grease or let things sit around for days before they sell them like some of the pizza shops in Hartford

I kind of have a thing for BLTs. they’re just simple and delicious. There is however a science to making a good BLT because as simple as they are, it’s a very fine line between a decent BLT and a BLT you dream about at night. Listen up class. For an excellent BLT(XBLT) a specfic formula has to be used in order to have the sandwich perfectly balanced for optimum enjoyment. This is also known as the BLT theorem(Similiar but not the same as the PBJ theorem). b: l: t or for sandwiches that are heaftier, B: L: T*. However. B: L: T XBLT XBLT is only created when the following expressions are both met: B: L: T and B + L + T + X = XBLT X is the excellence variable and can be a number of values. X =(possible values: quality of bread, degree of toasted bread, juciness/thickness of the tomato, type of lettuce, etc) ! The X factor is very important. Seriously, ask the British, they have a whole television show dedicated to finding it. ! And that is how you make an excellent BLT(XBLT).** Sadly, City Pizza somehow didn’t sucessfully complete the BLT theorem so it wasn’t an XBLT. The other food in our order(a various spread of grinders, a salad, a ziti platter) all looked pretty decent. We placed our delivery order at work as a birthday lunch celebration for a coworker. We ordered eight slices of cake as part of our order and sadly, the dessert didn’t make it with the rest of our order. Due to the snowstorm, having the desserts delivered would have taken another hour(due to the seventh immense snow storm of the century… this week), so we decided to forget dessert. The gentleman on the phone was extremely apologetic and quickly removed the cakes from the charge that had been placed on the card. *For the sake of example we are going to use(BLT) since I enjoy massive amounts of delicious food **Please keep in mind that this BLT theorem was described by an English major who uses math only when she’s figuring out how many cupcake combinations she can try when ordering from the Cupcake Brake(see review). There may be slight deviations in the explanation of the BLT theorem.

Very nice and friendly staff… They have a 20 inch pie, which is nice. Crust is very thin, but the ends tasted kind brittle and not particularly fresh or tasty. Cheese was OK, not very much, so if you like that style, then this would be good pizza for you. Sauce was OK, toppings OK. Prices are average. Just moved to the area(Hartford — West End) and trying to explore different Pizza joints

I live in downtown Hartford and was sick of getting domino’s delivery everytime i wanted pizza. My friend, who is a Hartford Native, suggested i try this place out. The pizza I got was the chicken pesto. It was a bit on the pricey side, but it did include«premium» toppings so i let it slide. The pizza came very quickly, less than 30 minutes. The pizza presentation was actually quite impressive. Whoever made it spent a lot of time making sure toppings were evenly distributed across the pie. As far as the pizza itself is concerned, it wasnt bad, but it wasnt amazing. I would have preferred there to be a bit more sauce. The pizza thickness was good, but there just wasnt enough sauce for the amount of crust. The toppings were good, but the pieces of chicken were almost so small you almost forgot they were there. The veggie toppings were good, including the fresh garlic. Bottom line, its a lot better than dominos, and with a better selection, but I’m not convinced its the best option for Hartford delivery. I will try a few more places, but will always keep this in mind as an option.
