Golden Nozzle Full Serve Car Wash

NEVER COMING BACK and you shouldn’t either. Don’t waste your time or money. Aside from the last 3 times I’ve left with a dirty windshield, the customer service here is awful. Shame, because I have not had issues for years until recently. My whole family uses this place to of convenience/​proximity to dealerships, but Never Again!
My experience today would be the second time I was spoken to so rudely by a particular service employee. (I am in a service profession myself, so I understand that how you speak to people goes a long way!!) There are times I have left with an unclean car and let it slide. (They offer a rewash if not satisfied, but what normal person would have the time to drive back around, wait in line and go through that again?) Anyway, I have forgiven that in the past because people have been nice. Not today. And no more!
To the blond haired, latina woman who’s job it was to guide me onto the car wash tracks – you should consider a career change… And yet good luck finding some place else to take you. Clearly you are unhappy. Learn some manners if you can, and have some respect – for yourself and others. Last time you ever see my car. Sorry not sorry!
Didn’t bother to get her name, nor call the manager, because I’m sure I’m not the first complaint and it feels so petty and trivial at this point. Easier on me just to never go back and type this up on my phone.

Great interior job done for $ 9!
They’re open after normal work hours so it’s easy to stop by after work if you’re in downtown Hartford.

They do a good job with the quick, 20 minute wax, but the prices went way up. Last year it was $ 40. Now it’s $ 60.

My review is based on the «Bumper-​To-​Bumper w/​Premium Wax» service. My overall experience with the services I received, at Golden Nozzle Weston Street, was disappointing and unsatisfactory. I arrived to get my car detailed at 8:30 AM and was told that they would not be able to tend to it until 10:30AM. I left my car and told the employee that it wasn’t a problem and that I would be back around 1 – 1:30PM to pick up the car. Upon my arrival around 1:15PM (2.5+hrs from the service scheduled time), my car was still being vacuumed and cleaned. As I inspected the vehicle, I was not satisfied with the following:
— The drive side leather seat was not properly cleaned and conditioned.
— The seat belts were not cleaned at all.
— The center console compartment was not cleaned.
— The car was clearly not waxed seeing as how there were bugs and dirt marks on the car, particularly on the roof, bumper, hood, and side mirrors.
— The hood of the car still had (removable) scuffs marks. When I pointed them out, I was told that I could use some kind of compound to remove them. I then ask the employee if he had any in the shop and he hands me a bottle. (For a $ 170 «Detail”-ing I would expect that it would have been done as part of the job)
— Some spots on carpet where still dirty in the backseat.
— The rims were not cleaned.
— The windshield was not cleaned and was still dirty.
Not being satisfied by the way my car looked, I told them that would return after work at around 5 PM. to allow them even more time to clean the various spots they missed.
When I returned, the car was finally in the condition it was supposed to be the first time I came to pick the car up and the majority of the issues listed above were addressed & resolved.
In the end, I was not charged for the service because I refused to pay full price for a service that was not up to par with what the company was advertising.
I would hope that in the future employees at Golden Nozzle will be more conscientious, professional and detail oriented.

I thought everyone that worked there was very nice and helpful. It is only $ 5 for the simple wash but you can add a bunch of stuff and get the bill up pretty high. Cool they offer interior cleaning as well.

Service is great and the young men are very hard workers. If you have any of the extra detailing work done expect to wait about an hour due to the volume of cars waiting. Customer service from their staff can feel a little abrupt, but more than made up for by the thorough job that is done. Definitely recommend this place if you need a full service job done. Just make sure to allot enough time to wait for your detailing to be done, or plan another activity or errands to pass the time.

The service here is shoddy and the employees take no responsibility for what they say or promise.
